Please send as much good juju as you can. Our 19 year old amazing ambassador Billy has taken a bad turn and we’re keeping him comfortable and giving him lots of love until he tells us “it’s time”. He’s been an absolutely amazing soul to spend 9 years with 🧡🧡🧡

Celebrating NINE years with Billy & Burt!! Bill was ten, Burt was two, and they were both at the same foster’s home bc they have FIV. Daniel Cousins and I couldn’t decide, so we took them both! Our world got a whole lot more orange, goofy, and wonderful. This was one of their first pics together when they came home. 🧡🧡

Mesh Mesh enjoys the window when I put her there. Her tiny legs and CH make it hard for her to jump up there on her own. So we got her some stairs, very solid/sturdy. large platforms, hoping she will use them. Baited with treats, catnip and silvervine. 🤞🤞

7 years ago, I created and presented a tap dance tribute for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock (which turns 57 this weekend). Still grateful to the dancers pictured here for taking my insane quest and giving it life. The weekend spent on site for the actual 50th anniversary is still one of my favorite moments of EVER. Happy Woodstock, everyone,

Two girls chillin in the presence of one another. I still know better than to remove that baby gate, but that Bebe isn’t right up on it and Mesh feels comfortable enough to stay out of her closet bunker…that’s huge! Both got a bunch of treats for R+. Sometimes progress with cats doesn’t look like much, but we’ve got all the time in the world.

Monday Morning Mesh Mesh. Our little wobble nugget, sweet potater tot, and absolute brick in the bed you have to navigate around at night. Daniel Cousins and I adore this kid!

CLEAR THE REC!
Clear the Shelters is happening — and we're SO CLOSE.

Just *four cats* remain in our Rec Room.

Four personalities. Four stories. Four chances to make room for the next cats who need us.

Teddy: the 4 year old heartthrob that loves to play with wand toys and sit in sunbeams. Inquisitive, smart, hard of hearing, and a very sweet kid.

Q-Tip: Part of the "Glen Cove Syndicate", she came from a hoarding situation and is great with other cats, but this 3 year old wants nothing more than to play, eat, sleep and enjoy life without so many others around.

Annabelle: our GORGEOUS 13 year old! On a medication that she takes with ease, she's looking for attention, affection, and a nice soft bed (or three...pictured...). She is part of our Seniors for Seniors program.

Dusty: sweet calico 3 month old kitten whose siblings have all been adopted. Now it's her turn! She loves to play, sit in laps, and has developed quite the purr.

Trying a different desensitization strategy. The issue is Bebe and naturally curious and patrols constantly. Mesh Mesh is naturally defensive bc of her CH and hisses when approached (though only with Bebe now). Sometimes it’s fine like this pic and they both look away and Bebe wanders off. Sometimes it escalates and Bebe hisses back and her body language changes so we usually intercede. Both cats are correct in their responses, and both responses are deeply ingrained. It’s been a challenge, but these kids are worth it.
