Did you know MSU College of Veterinary Medicine now has a mobile surgical unit serving animal shelters across Michigan?

The Community Medicine Program delivers veterinary care directly to organizations that need it most while providing hands-on learning opportunities for veterinary and veterinary nursing students.

By helping shelters access critical spay and neuter services, the program supports animal welfare, strengthens communities, and prepares future veterinary professionals.

Do fireworks make your furry friends nervous? More pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Follow these tips to keep your pets safe:
• Go for a walk early in the day before celebrations begin.
• Make sure your pets have properly fitting collars with current ID tags.
• Soothe nervous pets by keeping them inside and playing television or music to drown out the loud noises outside. If your pet needs medications, contact us today to prepare for the holiday!
