Happy National Pitbull Awareness Day (and month) to all of our pittie patients!

Today, with the help of Esme, a 9 year old American Bully, we’re celebrating the goofy, loving, loyal, sassy, and often misunderstood dogs we know and love! 🥰 Pit bull–type dogs are known for their affectionate personalities, big smiles, and their ability to turn just about anyone into their best friend. ❤️

Unfortunately, these dogs are often judged by their appearance or by misconceptions about the breed rather than being treated as individuals. Like every dog, their behavior is influenced by genetics, socialization, training, environment, and responsible ownership.

Do you have a couch potato or hippopotamus at home? Show us a 📸 ⬇️

Also, how cute is Esme?? 🥹

🐾💙 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 💙🐾

Today we’re giving a special shoutout to Mary, our incredible Breeding Technician—a true one-woman tech department! 👏🏼 She has been with us for 6 years!

Mary keeps our breeding department running smoothly from start to finish. She assists with semen evaluation and shipping, artificial inseminations, progesterone testing, OFA appointments, puppy revival post c-section, and so much more. She also manages Dr. Payne’s breeding schedule, communicates with clients, coordinates appointments, and somehow keeps track of all the moving pieces that come with a busy breeding department! 🐶🧬

There’s a LOT that happens behind the scenes to make every breeding appointment successful, and Mary is the one making sure it all comes together. Her knowledge, organization, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed make her such an important part of our team. 💙

Thank you, Mary, for everything you do for our patients, clients, and breeding program! We appreciate you more than you know! 🐾💙

It’s National Fetch Day and with the help of Boehringer Ingelheim, we are handing out frisbees today! Stop in and show our lovely receptionists this post to snag yours!

Playing fetch is a great way to keep dogs (or cats) active, lose weight, burn off energy, satisfies natural instincts, and provide mental stimulation!
