As the Executive Director of Angie’s Stray Foundation, I see firsthand the countless animals who need us. The kittens left outside, the dogs needing safe places to land, the medical emergencies we can’t ignore, and the animals who have nowhere else to turn.
Many years ago, when I started this rescue, the mission was to rescue dogs like Angie who was beaten and left for dead in a field. Her will to live pushed her to survive for weeks with a jaw broken in two places.
This type of rescue has high vet expenses, few adoptions but we continue this mission to rescue dogs like Ollie who sought shelter in a partial finished chicken coup with two cherry eyes, severely emaciated and cats like Rooney who was found with a very infected eye and fly strikes all over his tiny body.
We are overwhelmed with requests for help, our funds are depleted, and our bills continue to pile up. Yet, when an animal needs us, walking away is never easy. Every life matters, and we fight for each one we can.
But rescue cannot continue without YOU.
