📣 Local Business Sponsorship Opportunity!

Oxford Farm Kennels is looking for local businesses interested in sponsoring our brand-new client kennel bags!

These reusable bags will be given to our clients to carry their dogs’ food, medications, leashes, and other belongings whenever they visit us for boarding or training. Your business logo will be featured directly on the bags, giving your brand continued visibility within our growing community of dog owners.

This is a wonderful opportunity to:

🐾 Promote your business to local pet owners
🐾 Support a small, family-owned business
🐾 Build connections within our community
🐾 Gain ongoing exposure each time the bags are used

Sponsorship opportunities are limited. If your business would like to be featured, please send us a private message or email [email protected] for details.

We would love to partner with businesses that believe in supporting animals, families, and our local community!

✨ A little preparation goes a long way.

Boarding can be an exciting experience for your dog, and a few simple skills can make their stay safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

🐾 Know Their Name
When your dog responds to their name, it helps our team get their attention quickly and build trust from day one.

🦮 Walk on a Leash
Comfort walking on a leash makes potty breaks, exercise, and moving around the property calm and safe.

📣 Come When Called
A reliable recall adds an extra layer of safety and helps us confidently exercise and care for your dog.

These aren’t about having a perfectly trained dog—they’re about setting your dog up for success in a new environment.

At Oxford Farm Kennels, our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and enriching boarding experience for every guest. ❤️

☀️ Summer heat can be dangerous for your dog. 🐾

As temperatures climb, it’s up to us to help our dogs stay safe and comfortable. Dogs don’t regulate heat the way we do, and overheating can happen much faster than many people realize.

Here are a few simple ways to keep your dog cool this summer:
💧 Always provide fresh, cool water.
🌳 Exercise during the early morning or late evening when temperatures are lower.
🏡 Offer plenty of shade or keep them indoors with air conditioning during the hottest part of the day.
🐾 Avoid hot pavement—it can burn your dog’s paw pads. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.
💦 Use a kiddie pool, sprinkler, cooling mat, or frozen enrichment treats to help them beat the heat.
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse. If you suspect your dog is overheating, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.

A little planning goes a long way in keeping our four-legged family members safe. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy your summer adventures responsibly! 🐶☀️

Train your dog. Not just for obedience—but because they deserve the structure, communication, and confidence that training provides.

Dogs thrive on consistency, clear boundaries, and knowing what’s expected of them. A well-trained dog is a happier, safer, and more fulfilled companion.

And remember—training should never be all work and no fun. Mix in play sessions, rewards, and moments your dog genuinely enjoys. The best training programs build trust, engagement, and a stronger bond between you and your dog. 🐾
