Not One More Vet (NOMV): Veterinary medicine unfortunately remains a profession with one of the highest rates of su***de. Tragically, another member of our Michigan veterinary family recently lost their life. We want to take a moment to bring vital awareness to this ongoing crisis.

Here at Northside, we are incredibly thankful for our clients who send thank-you notes, show appreciation, and recognize the hard work and love we pour into our jobs every day. We promise to always treat every pet that walks through our doors as if they were our own. While this industry can come with a lot of negativity and difficult moments, seeing the kind words from our community reminds us exactly why we do this. Please keep sharing that positivity; it truly saves lives! 💙🤍

Did you know cats can actually sense the season changing before you do? 🍂

Shorter daylight hours trigger shifts in your cat's behavior, appetite, and sleep patterns. You might notice them eating a little more, sleeping longer, or seeking out warmer spots around the house as October sets in. It's completely normal and just their body responding to the change in light. 🐱

Those eyes have seen a thousand adventures and they're ready for a thousand more. 🐾🤍

Senior dogs have this quiet, steady kind of energy that is impossible not to love. As the season changes and the air gets crisp, there's something extra special about slowing down and just being present with an older pup. 🍂

Take some extra time to see how your older furry friend is doing - the changing weather can make joints ache, slows metabolism, and increases risk of illness ❤️‍🩹

Those whiskers aren't just for looks. 🐱

Did you know a cat's whiskers are actually highly sensitive sensory tools? They help cats navigate tight spaces, detect changes in air current, and even sense nearby objects in the dark.

Trimming them is a hard no since it can genuinely disorient your cat. ❌
