This sweet girl has been waiting so patiently for someone to see just how special she is, and our hearts break thinking of her still without a forever home. 💔

Meet Boo (also known as Betty) — a tiny 7-pound bundle of softness, quirks, and unconditional love. She’s the kind of cat who will curl up beside you for a cozy Netflix night, chatter away about her day, and reward gentle ear rubs with the deepest, happiest purrs. She loves cardboard scratchers, toys, bird watching from the window, and watching “cat TV” on YouTube like it’s her full-time job. One of her favorite positions is upside-down, observing the world in all her goofy glory.

At bedtime, Boo becomes the sweetest little companion you didn’t know you were missing. She’s affectionate, funny, gentle, impeccably well-mannered, and fully litterbox perfect. She truly just wants a peaceful home where she can finally exhale and feel safe.

Boo had a hard start to life, and because of that, she thrives best in a calm home where she can be the center of someone’s world. She would prefer to be the only cat, and while she has adjusted remarkably well in foster care, a quieter environment would help her continue blossoming into the confident, loving girl we know she can be.

There is something so incredibly special about this cat. The person who gives Boo a chance is going to discover layer after layer of sweetness, trust, and devotion as she continues coming out of her shell. She has so much love to give.

Please, if you’ve been thinking about adding a companion to your family, consider Betty Boo. And if you can’t adopt, sharing her post could be the thing that changes her life. 🖤

✈👨‍✈️Pilot Pete is now PIRATE Pete!! ☠⚓

Our beloved Pete had to have urgent surgery yesterday and we need your help to cover his medical care. 💕

Pete is a Park Heights Animal Welfare Group legend. After evading traps for years, he was finally neutered in 2021. A few months later the colony feeders realized he wasn’t feral at all when he started trying to climb into their cars and follow them home! He was brought into foster care that fall and has been a full-time lap cat since.

After developing diabetes and getting very sick, Pete has been with one of our medical fosters where he’ll be absolutely spoiled for the rest of his days. For the past few months, he has been dealing with some complicated chronic eye issues. Despite aggressive intervention from his foster mom and Dr. McMichael, his eye deteriorated quickly over the past few days, and was urgently removed to relieve his pain.

While he’s a complicated medical patient, Pete is back home and doing great - down an eye, but up in cuteness! He’s been a trooper through all of his treatments, and is truly the HAPPIEST cat, full of purrs, biscuits, head butts, and aggressive snuggles.

Cats like Pete are why we do what we do. With proper care, he is truly living his best life and immediately charms everyone he meets. But this care isn’t free! We rely on your donations and support to pay for expensive procedures like Pete’s eye removal surgery. Please consider donating or sharing!!

🚨 Urgent Help Needed for Mr. Smoke 🚨

Many of you may remember Mr. Smoke (“Buddy”)—a sweet, resilient boy we rescued back in January 2025. Thanks to life-saving surgery funded by Show Your Soft Side, he overcame severe respiratory issues caused by large polyps. He’s been patiently waiting in foster ever since, showing nothing but love and gentleness every single day. ❤️

Unfortunately, Mr. Smoke needs our help again. He now has a polyp in his right ear that requires surgical removal. Without it, he’s at risk for ongoing pain, infection, and worsening health.

Dr. McMichael at Timonium Animal Hospital fit him in tonight for surgery! 🙌

FRA is committed to giving him the care he deserves—but we can’t do it without you.

💔 We urgently need donations to help cover the cost of his surgery. Every dollar truly makes a difference—whether it’s $5, $20, or more, it all adds up to getting Mr. Smoke healthy, comfortable, and one step closer to his forever home.

If you’re not able to donate, sharing this post would mean the world and helps us reach more people who might be able to help.

Let’s come together for this incredible boy who has already fought so hard. He deserves relief, healing, and a chance at the happy ending he’s been waiting for. 🐾
