The good news is warmer days are finally here!☀️

The bad news is that means more exposure to fleas and ticks especially for our furry friends.

Following up on our recent post about Bravecto Quantum - As we continue looking into this once-yearly flea and tick injection for dogs, we wanted to share a little more information with our clients.

Bravecto Quantum has now been used globally for 3 years in 50 different countries and has been 99.9% reaction-free. When reactions do occur, they’re typically mild and self-limiting within 24 hours, most commonly mild lethargy or temporary GI upset like vomiting or diarrhea.

There have been no reported seizures, deaths, or bloodwork changes associated with the product.

It can also be used alongside repellent products like Seresto or Vectra and has not shown issues in MDR1 dogs.

One important note: this protects against fleas and ticks only, so dogs would still need to remain on heartworm prevention recommended by your veterinarian.
We’re continuing to evaluate whether this option makes sense for our patients and will keep you updated!

While healing, keep an eye out for signs that something might not be quite right—like excessive swelling, redness, discharge at the incision site, lethargy, loss of appetite, or licking at the area.
