Porcupine encounters are something we see more often than you’d think 🦔🐾
If your pet comes in contact with a porcupine, those quills can embed quickly and migrate deeper into the skin, causing pain, infection, and more serious complications.

We’ve been seeing an increase in patients with quills lately. Please remember:
❗ Do NOT try to remove them at home
❗ Seek veterinary care as soon as possible
❗ The sooner they’re treated, the better the outcome

Keep a close eye on curious pups especially during dusk and dawn when wildlife is more active!

🐾 Happy Veterinary Reception Week! 🐾
Veterinary receptionists are the heartbeat of the clinic, juggling calls, calendars, questions, emotions, and everything in between with grace and grit. Our "rock-stars" celebrate happy outcomes, comfort worried pet parents, and often take the brunt of difficult days all while keeping things moving smoothly for the entire team. Your compassion, patience, and hard work do not go unnoticed.
We truly couldn’t do this without you. 🐾✨

Happy Receptionist Week to our Team🐾
Our receptionists do so much more than answer phones and schedule appointments, they are the heart of our clinic. They keep our days running smoothly while also supporting clients through both joyful visits and challenging moments.

We are so grateful for everything you do, not only this week but every day of the week! Thank you for the care you show to every person and pet who walks through our doors. ❤️

March is Kidney Awareness Month 🩺🐾

Your pet’s kidneys play a vital role in filtering toxins, balancing fluids, and keeping their body healthy. Kidney disease can develop slowly, which is why routine exams and lab work are so important.

⚠️ Signs to watch for:
• Increased drinking or urination
• Weight loss
• Decreased appetite
• Vomiting or lethargy

Because kidney disease often develops slowly, many pets don’t show signs until the disease is advanced. Regular checkups and routine lab work help us catch problems early so we can help pets live longer, healthier lives.

If you’ve noticed any changes in your pet or it’s been a while since their last wellness check, we’re here to help. ❤️🐶🐱
