We offer comfort and care to your pets with our pet sitting, dog walking and pet taxi services in Overland Park and surrounding areas like Leawood, Lenexa and Olathe. For you we offer peace of mind with convenient in-home pet care provided by bonded, insured pet professionals who care for your pet like it is their own. What makes us different is the importance we place on the relationship between people and their pets. When your pet is well cared for when you’re away, they return to you calm and in good spirits. When you don’t have to worry about your pet’s care or your home while you’re away, you return to them in good spirits as well. Both help improve and maintain the special relationship between pets and their people. In addition, your first meeting with us is complementary so that you can get to know us and we can get to know you and your pet. While you’re away, we document your pet’s care, temperament and experience in written journals, photographs and even video. Joy of Living was founded by Karen Harrison. A health scare in 2008 made Karen reevaluate her life and career priorities. With the belief that the relationship between people and their pets is one of life’s great joys, Karen decided to dedicate her career to her life-long passion for animals. Joy of Living was founded to facilitate happy, healthy relationships between pet owners and their furry family. In addition to being bonded and insured, we also belong to the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and the American Humane Society.
