🤍 White coats, VERY different dogs!

From the tiny Maltese to the powerful Great Pyrenees, white-coated dogs come in an incredible variety of sizes, personalities, coat types, and original working purposes.

Some were bred as companions, some as watchdogs, and others to protect livestock. Their coloring may be something they have in common—but their care needs certainly aren’t!

How many of these white dog breeds could you recognize on sight? 🐾

🐰 Pet sitting isn’t just for the dogs and cats!

Some of our clients are a little smaller, a little quieter…and have very strong opinions about when the salad should be served. 🥬😂

Whether they have paws, whiskers, feathers, or something in between, our goal is to keep pets comfortable in their own familiar environment and maintain the routine they’re accustomed to while their people are away.

And judging by this face, lunch appears to have been acceptable. ❤️

🐶🎉 Happy National Dog Day!

Around here, pretty much EVERY day is Dog Day—but August 26 makes it official. ❤️

For more than two decades, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know a whole lot of dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, puppies, seniors, couch potatoes, enthusiastic walkers, treat negotiators, professional ball chasers…and plenty who are convinced the entire world revolves around them. (They may be right.)

Today we’re celebrating all of them. 🐾

Tiny dogs with the sweetest dispositions...

Papillons may be small, but they have a BIG fanbase all around the World due to a longer history than most breeds. Great apartment and single owner dogs- they just need one person to snuggle!

🐾 Meet the Cardigan Welsh Corgi!

Those short legs weren't designed for sitting around looking adorable—although Corgis certainly excel at that too. 😂

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi was developed as a working farm dog in Wales, where its low build and surprising agility helped it work around cattle. Behind that unmistakable Corgi appearance is an intelligent, active herding dog with a long working history.

Niles doesn't have to do much but just sit there to get attention- those pointy long ears do all the hard work!

First impressions matter—especially between dogs.

Introducing two dogs successfully is about more than simply putting them together and hoping they become friends. The environment, each dog's energy level, available resources, body language and the way we manage the interaction can all affect how that first meeting goes.

After years of working hands-on with dogs, one thing remains true: don’t rush an introduction. Give both dogs space, pay attention to what they're communicating, and be willing to end the interaction before either dog becomes overwhelmed.

And remember—not every dog needs to become best friends. A calm, comfortable coexistence is a perfectly good outcome. ❤️🐕
