Stoll Memorial Park is an 80-acre park featuring a picturesque walking trail, picnic shelter, picnic areas, playground, a small pond, a seven-acre dog off-leash area, and seven athletic playing fields. Stoll who was instrumental in the park's development and had died the previous year while serving as chairman of the District’s Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners. Dog Off-Leash Area
The seven acre off-leash area is located near the center of the park. The flat, open space is fenced and equipped with ample parking. For the enjoyment of all patrons and pets, the District's Off-Leash Area Code of Conduct/Rules apply. Please note that between March 15 and November 15 there are weekly maintenance closures. During that period, maintenance is scheduled every Wednesday from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The closures are intended to allow for a higher level of maintenance to the area without compromising dog and patron safety. Trespassing is prohibited when the gate is locked. JCPRD has a total of four dog parks. The other off-leash areas are located in Shawnee Mission Park, Heritage Park and Kill Creek Streamway (at the 95th Street access point). Each off-leash area is an enclosed, fenced area.

Stoll Park visitors, we want to give you a heads-up about an important upcoming project that will temporarily impact part of the park.

Beginning soon, the pond at Stoll Park will be drained and the east side park entrance will close as crews address immediate repairs related to a sinkhole that was discovered a few weeks ago just south of the paved trail. Prior to the pond being fully drained, park staff will try to remove and relocate as many of the remaining fish as possible.

We understand this closure may affect your usual park routines, access, and enjoyment of the space, and we truly appreciate your patience during this necessary work.

Once this work has been completed, the pond will refill according to Mother Nature’s timeline. Once the pond refills to an acceptable level, Natural Resources staff will determine the best time to restock the pond.

The attached image shows the area that will be closed soon. Please be mindful of posted closures during construction.
