We are closed this week for our annual summer maintenance. This year, we are installing a new generator! Over 12,000 hours on our current unit and running strong..

That's ALOT of dogs!!

The timing couldn't be better as the heat this week is way too hot to be out working in the van. Even with our icy air conditioning in the van, it's hard to keep that kind of heat out and stay safe inside when we are using the dryer.

We are still booking 6-8 weeks out, and in August, we will be securing your holiday appts. Remember, holiday appointments always book from Christmas backward. If you are already on a 6-8 week schedule, you will get those dates in August.

I am looking forward to this week of rest and a smooth service with the generator. You should see me back on the road on Monday!

A decade of dogs 🐾

This year marks my 10th year as a mobile groomer in LaSalle County. I’ve had the absolute privilege of grooming so many amazing dogs, and some of them I’ve known since the very beginning.

Ten years is a long time in a dog’s life, and I’ve watched many of my furry friends grow from wiggly pups into beloved seniors.

One of the hardest parts of this job is watching those changes come. The first time I have to lift them into the van when they used to race me inside. The first time I notice cloudy eyes that don’t quite meet mine. The first time they don’t hear me say their name. The first time their legs give out and they need to sit in the tub. The first time I give a “comfort groom” instead of a fancy cut, because I know standing is just too hard. Sometimes I use hammocks, sometimes I take extra photos, and sometimes I just sit with them a little longer—because I don’t know if it will be the last time.

And then there are the messages… the ones that come late at night, telling me a dog I love has crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾. My heart breaks every single time, because they were more than just clients—they were part of my extended family.

But with the heartbreak comes joy. I get to meet new puppies just starting their journey. I get to watch families who’ve lost their best friend heal as they welcome a new wagging tail into their lives. I get to celebrate every stage, from baby teeth to gray whiskers. And every dog, old or new, reminds me why I’ve done this for ten years and why I’ll keep doing it.

To all of my clients—thank you for trusting me with your dogs, for letting me love them alongside you, and for sharing both the joyful beginnings and the tearful goodbyes. Here’s to ten years behind us, and many more tails, kisses, and memories ahead. ❤️🐶

This story right here is exactly why I am taking the time needed to get our generator repaired or replaced if need be. If I was desperate to work just to make money I could put some other kind of generator in or have one strapped to the back of the van.

Safety is my main concern. I'd rather lose business than take a chance of this type of incident.

Thank you for your patience while we are trying to resolve this issue. I look forward to getting back on the road ASAP.

My prayers for this pet's family and also for the groomer who probably had no idea he was working in an unsafe situation.

A Lighthouse Point family is mourning the loss of their beloved service dog, Luke, after he died in an apparent carbon monoxide accident during a mobile grooming appointment, which also left the groomer hospitalized.

🚐💨 Closed for a Quick Tune-Up! 🐾

Hey friends! Just a quick heads up that we’ll be closed for a short time while our generator gets some much-needed TLC. Working in this summer heat has really done a number on our equipment, and while we try to schedule maintenance during our planned breaks, sometimes these things pop up unexpectedly (because, you know…dogs aren’t the only ones who run wild! 😉).

Finding someone qualified to work on such sensitive equipment in a timely manner is no small feat, but we’re on it! 🛠️

During this time, I won’t be doing any scheduling or responding to messages until I know exactly when we’ll be back on the road and ready to pamper your pups again. Thank you all for your patience and understanding—we’ll be back soon, cooler, powered up, and ready to roll!
