This male Rottweiler type dog was found on SR 65 and Rd H, south of Leipsic on Monday. He had been seen in the area of Rd I near Rd 5 on Friday last week. No one has called to report him missing. It appears that he had a collar on at one time but was found with no collar or dog license on. Since he has been loose since last Friday, hopefully he was not dumped by his owner. He is an older dog that is overweight as well. If anyone has information on who the owner is, you can message the shelter on comment on the post.

Buddy is still looking for his new home! Buddy is around 3 years old and is possibly a Black Lab Mix type dog. Buddy has been good with other dogs but does like to play rough with other dogs and the other dogs may not like it so much. He has a lot of energy and could use some training but overall, Buddy is a really good dog. He does know some basic commands such as sit, shake and lay down. He might some work on getting back to being housebroken. Buddy is super friendly and loves the attention! It would probably be best if he was the only dog and also maybe no real young kids as he likes to play a little rough but has never shown any signs of aggression!

If interested in checking Buddy out, you can message the shelter, call (419) 523-8617 to setup an appointment or stop by the shelter on Thursdays from Noon - 1 pm or Saturdays from 9 am - 10 am. Adoption fee is only $70 which includes dog license.

Found a new home

Courtesy Post

Winter is looking for a new home due to some family issues within the residence. Winter is almost 3 years old, up to date vaccines and she is already fixed. She is possibly a Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix that is still loves to play! Winter is housebroken, very friendly and has been good around kids. She apparently does better with female dogs than male dogs and has been good with cats.

If interested in checking Winter, you can message the shelter or comment on the post.

Winter is currently not at the dog shelter.

Meet Buddy. Buddy was adopted during week of fair this year. Unfortunately, Buddy found his way back to the shelter to no fault of his own. Buddy has already been at the shelter for over a week. Buddy is around 3 years old, very friendly, loves attention, seems to be good with some dogs and will need to work on getting housebroke again. He is certainly a larger breed Heinz 57 type dog!

If interested in checking Buddy out, you can message the shelter, stop by on Thursdays from Noon - 1 pm and Saturdays from 9 am - 10 am or call (419) 523-8617 to setup an appointment. Adoption fee is only $70 which includes dog license.
