One of these Aussies is at the vet for vaccines., and is a bit more nervous (due to COVID circumstances and lack of socialization). The other is the "confident" ESA๐Ÿ˜‰. Can you tell which is which?

Target training: I originally used this for birds only (those nippy buggars that didn't want to step up). With my CE courses I decided to implement it into dog training. I normally use finger points with horses and dogs, so I was skeptical. I am faster with my praises, than I am with the clicker, another thing I have NEVER used in my training. I have been trying to learn new principles, new ways of do8ng things. I am not perfect, and you aren't either. Just know, a good bond, an open mind, and plenty of praise (including yourself) goes a long way to achieving success!!

Teaching your dogs to share, have good manners, and when to walk away from a potential conflict can really ensure a healthy "pack mentality".

Even weanlings can benefit from a good foundation of learning, from haltering, basic groundwork, loading, tying, standing for farrier, trailering, AND liberty work. We have to give some props to a well-balanced, and well-trained mare, who helped teach some of those things by example, too.๐Ÿฅฐ

Follow up video to the doggie door bell. I have to be honest, R***r wasn't potty trained until he was a year old. Okay, that's a lie to spare my ego.... I wasn't trained to pick up on his cues. We did cow bell training, and overnight...voila! He had me shouting "more cowbell!" And we had no more accidents in the house. I stopped using it (let's all agree that thing is obnoxious) after he taught me his cues. He just turned twelve at the beginning of January; we hadn't used the bell in at least 10 years. I yest3d his retention of knowledge just to find out the little one had picked it up in just the one session we aired previously! The work pays off.... especially when we consider it's not our animals that lack communication skills ๐Ÿ˜‰
