Farm and working dogs have nutritional needs that most standard dog food isn't designed to meet. 🐕

Dogs that are active on a farm, whether they're herding, guarding, or just covering a lot of ground daily, burn significantly more calories than the average house pet and have higher protein and fat requirements to support that output.

If your farm dog is on the same bag of food as a dog that spends most of its time on a couch, it might be worth a second look. 👀

September energy, honestly. 🍂

The heat is finally starting to back off. The animals are more comfortable. The mornings feel different. There's a certain exhale that happens on the farm when the season shifts and everything just settles a little.

What's your favorite thing about September on your farm? 🍁

September is your reminder. 🐄🍂

The animals that come out of winter in great shape are almost always the ones whose people made the right calls in fall. Body condition checks. Feed adjustments. Mineral programs reviewed before the cold arrives.

It doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to happen now rather than later.

Stop in this week and let's make sure your herd is set up for a strong finish to the year. We're here to help. 🙌

There is nothing quite like a September foal discovering the world on their own terms for the first time. 🐴🍂

A little wobbly. A little curious. Completely unaware of how much potential is packed into those long legs.

Fall is a season of transition on every farm. But watching a young horse find their confidence in it is one of the better reminders of why this life is worth every early morning.

What's the youngest animal on your property right now? ☺️

September tip for backyard flock keepers. 🐔

As days get shorter, your hens are picking up on it. Laying hens need around 14 to 16 hours of light to maintain consistent egg production. When natural daylight drops below that threshold, many hens will start to slow down or take a break entirely.

This is completely natural. But if you want to maintain production through fall and winter, a simple supplemental light on a timer in the coop can make a significant difference. 💡

September is the right time to take a look at what your flock is eating heading into fall. 🐔

Shorter days, cooling temps, and the natural end of peak laying season all change what your hens need from their feed. What worked well in summer may not be the best setup for the months ahead.

Come see us this week and keep your flock in good shape all the way through winter.. 🙌
