From the day she was born to seven weeks old…we’ve loved watching this little girl grow. 💛

And this Sunday, we finally get to bring her home!

Please help us welcome Chilbrook Smart Strike to the Sycamore Kennels family. Bred by our dear friend Kay Chilbrook Kennels LLC, their little girl represents generations of thoughtful breeding, classic Labrador type and the foundation for an exciting new chapter in our program.

We have big dreams for this little girl, but for now, we’re simply excited to hold her, love her and finally call her ours.

Apparently Murphy had a pretty good agility weekend…his handler, however, may be on probation. 😂

This handsome HRCH Coupe MH × HRCH Rox MH boy was spotted parading around with a “NEED NEW HANDLER” sign, and judging by that smile, Murphy agrees with the assessment!

We love seeing Coupe offspring showing their versatility and having this much fun doing it.

Congratulations to Murphy and his very good-sport owner and handler, Laura Lambert! 🐾💛

We’re super excited to introduce you to
Chilbrook Smart Strike.

Through a new partnership with Kay and Chilbrook Kennels, this tri-factored yellow girl will be joining the Sycamore family from the CH Chilbrook Benchmark CGC × Chilbrook Smart Money CC JH breeding.

Debby is a founding officer of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac, a member of the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc., and has been breeding Labradors for more than 50 years. We could not be more excited about this journey together.

Smart Strike is only weeks old, and we finally get our hands on her at the end of the month. Her registered name is set, her call name will have to wait until we meet her.

Follow along as we follow her down the hall, into trouble, into the snack pack, through toys and fun…and eventually down the hunt test road, hopefully all the way to the Master National and the Grand.

For now, though, she just gets to be a puppy.

Sydney Emery and Sunny picked up another Seasoned pass in Maine today! 💛

Sunny is Judge’s full sister from the 2023 repeat Coupe × Rox breeding. She handled a tough retrieve through two flushed chukars and stayed locked in on the original bird.

Another nice showing from that cross. Congratulations, Sydney and Sunny!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering changes that could weaken protections for federally conserved wetlands in the Prairie Pothole Region, the Duck Factory of North America. These wetlands produce more than half of the continent’s migratory ducks, and losing them would have lasting impacts on waterfowl populations.

These small wetlands are where ducks pair up, nest, and raise their broods. If we lose the Duck Factory, we lose the habitat that keeps migrations strong and seasons healthy.

For 92 years, Duck Stamp dollars have helped purchase and protect these wetlands. Waterfowl hunters have always been at the forefront of conservation, and we can’t let decades of work be undone.
