A slower, foggy morning in the pasture today.

Standing with the horses, watching them quietly move through the fog, remembering the 2,977 lives that were lost on September 11, 2001.

2,977 people who had families, friends, jobs, plans, and people waiting for them to come home.

Today, we remember. We remember the families who lost someone they loved, those that ran toward danger in a blink of an eye, and the countless people who stepped forward to help in the days that followed.

25 years later, their lives will be remembered. And they will never be forgotten.

When the foundation is right, starting under saddle becomes the easy part.

Stormi’s first 90 days under saddle were a reflection of years of handling, groundwork, exposure, and preparation that came long before I ever climbed on her. Her owner did a wonderful job making sure she had the right start.

That foundation is what allowed her to progress quickly and confidently. More importantly, develop into the kind of horse I’m comfortable putting a young rider on.

Watching her carry a kid around at the walk trot with a smile like this makes it the best of both worlds for me today.

Good job Stormi💜
And good job to our young rider!
