This is a 1 # stray kitten who needed surgery to have his eye removed. Since he is a rescue we don’t know how it happened. But he hasn’t been growing or acting as healthy as his littermates so we decided to go ahead and remove the eye.
His age and tiny size make him a challenge. Nurses Joanne and Adrian handled pain meds. placed IV catheter, intubated him & monitored during surgery.
He did great! He was eating and making muffins half an hour after surgery.
We named him Hawkeye.

This is Meggie, a 16 year old Yorkie who weighs 3.7 pounds. Her owner and I both thought that Meggie’s teeth were infected and painful. Other than that she’s healthy, so we decided to go forward with a dental. Her age and size are definitely things we need to be careful with.
Nurse Charlene handled x rays and prophy. Markie monitored anesthesia. Dr Flanagin hovered and fussed over all, then removed 13 infected teeth.
Meggie rocked it all! She handled anesthesia like a champ and will be healthier and less painful afterwards!
