Halter training a foal with a mammoth donkey! This is a more detailed video of how I attach the foal to the donkey and some of my preferred things for this method.

Stay tuned for Part 2, posting tomorrow morning! You’ll get a real look at the foal coming out the gate on the Mabel Train, with no edits. I’ll also share what I believe is the MOST important thing to have when using this method!

My husband and a PLR horse out working a day on the ranch!! ❤️

This one’s by PLR Roan Page and we plan to get some baby’s out of her in the coming years. She put in a good day and is getting a bunch of those wet saddle pads everyone always talks about! We call her Mandy.

Fall time really is the most beautiful time of year!…but it comes with tree needles in places you’d rather NOT have them…😂😂🧡🍁🍂

Working with the Chunker, “YP Fast French Chunk,” yesterday evening. I finished working with him and left him tied while I went to fork hay to the other horses. On my way back, I was stopped in my tracks by the beauty of this moment. 💛

It was absolutely breathtaking, and sometimes I’m so grateful to have a phone to capture these moments so I can look back on them in awe.

Life is a series of moments, and slowing down enough to truly enjoy the beauty in them can be hard. We get so caught up in the work, the responsibilities, and everything that needs to be done that sometimes we forget to stop and take it all in.

But ultimately, that’s what life is meant to be… LIVED in the moment 💛

Not just rushed through, not just checked off a list, but truly lived. Taking in the beauty around us, appreciating the little things, and being present enough to recognize just how special the ordinary moments can be.

I said what I said… ❤️ No hate toward the lady; her question is legitimate, but I thought my answer was worth sharing.

Most of us breeders who have stuck it out through the hard times have a deeper reason for breeding the horses we do.

Some are working to preserve genetics. Some spent years buying horses from sale barns, thinking they’d last, only to find an underlying issue that wasn’t disclosed. They eventually got tired of the bu****it and decided to raise their own.

Some of us saw the difference in quality between sale barn horses and home-raised horses early on and decided to invest the time and effort into breeding quality. Some of us know there’s a difference in the mind of a horse that’s been handled and raised by you from day one, and we choose to breed our own because of it. Some of us have a desire to raise working horses that will last us a lifetime, not just a season in the saddle.

All of us breeders have a reason and a purpose. And just because ours differs from yours doesn’t mean you get a say in what we choose to do.
