🇺🇸🐾 Keep the 4th fun, festive, and SAFE for your furry family! 🐾🇺🇸
Fireworks may be exciting for us, but for many dogs, the loud booms can be scary and overwhelming. Before the celebrations begin, take a few simple steps to help keep your pup calm and protected:
🐶 Bring dogs inside before dark
🏷️ Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip info are up to date
🛏️ Create a cozy quiet space with blankets, toys, and comfort items
🧡Kennel them if you have one to keep your fuzzy friend home and safe
📺 Use the TV, music, or a fan to help soften the sound of fireworks
🚪 Double-check gates, doors, and fences so scared pups cannot bolt
🍔 Keep BBQ scraps, alcohol, glow sticks, and fireworks away from pets
For pups who get extra nervous, talk with your vet about safe calming options ahead of time. Some pet parents use pet-safe, THC-free CBD to help support relaxation, and a small sprinkle of catnip may have a gentle calming effect for some dogs. Every dog is different, so start small, use pet-safe products only, and always check with your vet first—especially if your dog takes medication or has health issues.
Let’s keep those tails wagging safely this Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙
Happy 4th of July from our grooming family to yours! 🐾🎆
