🐾 June is National Pet Preparedness Month! 🐾

Emergencies can happen when we least expect them — and our feline family members depend on us to be ready. 🐱💕

A little planning ahead can help keep your cat safe if you ever need to evacuate or leave home quickly.

🐾 Create a kitty “go bag”
✔ Food & bottled water
✔ Medications
✔ Medical records/vaccine history
✔ A recent photo of your cat
✔ Extra litter & disposable trays
✔ Comfort items (blanket, toys, familiar scents)

🐾 Have a carrier for EACH cat
During an emergency, every cat needs their own safe, secure carrier. Don’t wait until you need it — leave carriers out, add cozy bedding, and help your cat see them as a safe place, not just a trip to the vet. 🏠🐈

🐾 Keep vaccines & records up to date
If you ever need to use a boarding facility, evacuation shelter, or temporary housing option, proof of current vaccinations will be required before your cat can stay. Having records ready can save valuable time.

🐾 Update identification
Even indoor-only cats can become scared and escape during stressful situations. Make sure microchip information is current and consider an ID tag.

Being prepared today can make all the difference tomorrow. ❤️

Because when it comes to our cats… they aren’t “just pets” — they’re family. 🐾

🐱💙 June is National Adopt a Cat Month! 💙🐱

Every cat deserves a safe home, a cozy spot to nap, and a family to love. Whether they’re a playful kitten, a shy adult, or a sweet senior with years of love left to give, there’s a perfect feline friend waiting for their second chance. 🏡✨

If you’ve been thinking about adding a new member to your family, now is the purr-fect time to consider adoption. Shelters and rescues are full of amazing cats looking for forever homes — and adoption truly changes lives. 🐾

Already have a rescue kitty? Celebrate by sharing their adoption story or a photo in the comments — we’d love to see our feline friends living their best lives! 😻

🐾 Tiny Tales Rescue Needs Our Help 🐾

Tiny Tales Rescue is currently in dire need of donations to continue helping the many kittens in their care.

Kitten season has hit hard — they have a large number of kittens who are ready to be spayed/neutered so they can find their forever homes, along with many sick kittens needing medical treatment and extra care. ❤️‍🩹

Tiny Tales Rescue is run 100% by donations and dedicated volunteers. Every dollar goes directly toward giving these kittens the care they need — from exams and medications to surgeries and lifesaving treatments.

If you are able to help, monetary donations can be made:
🐱 Directly to Cat Care Clinic to help cover Tiny Tales Rescue’s medical bills
🐱 Online through their website: TinyTalesRescue.org

No amount is too small. Every donation helps give these kittens a chance to grow, heal, and find loving homes. 🐾💕

🐾 Tiny Kittens Need Big Hearts 🐾

Kitten season is in full swing, and rescues are feeling the strain. Our friends at Tiny Tales Rescue are always in need of foster homes, donations, and quality kitten food to help save vulnerable kittens and give them a chance at a healthy, happy future.

Fostering can save lives by providing a safe place for kittens to grow, heal, and prepare for adoption. If fostering isn’t possible, donations of supplies or funds can make a tremendous difference.

Every bottle fed, every meal provided, and every foster home opened helps write a happy ending for a kitten in need. ❤️

🚨 Foreign Body Danger in Cats 🚨

Cats are naturally curious… and sometimes that curiosity gets them into trouble. String, ribbon, dental floss, hair ties, rubber bands, toys, thread, yarn, tinsel, and even pieces of plastic can become dangerous foreign bodies if swallowed.

⚠️ Signs your cat may have eaten something they shouldn’t:
• Vomiting or gagging
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy
• Hiding more than usual
• Straining to p**p or diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Drooling
• String hanging from the mouth or re**um (NEVER pull it!)

Linear foreign bodies like string, ribbon, and dental floss can cause serious damage to the intestines and may require emergency surgery.

🐾 Help keep your cats safe:
• Put away string, ribbon, sewing supplies, dental floss, and hair ties
• Supervise play with wand/string toys
• Inspect toys regularly for loose pieces
• Keep trash cans secured
• Store small objects out of reach

If you think your cat may have swallowed a foreign object, contact your veterinarian right away. Early treatment can make a huge difference. ❤️
