🐾🥰Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!🥰🐾
This Little Westie Doesn’t Have Owners...He Has Staff.
When McGuire crossed the Rainbow Bridge, the house became a little too quiet. It wasn't long before another little Westie was about to change that.
Enter Brodie.
At just 12 weeks old, he made the trip from Arrowhead Acres Westies in Spring Hope, NC, and was picked up at the Jacksonville airport looking like the sweetest, most innocent puppy imaginable.
It was a clever disguise.
His name comes from the Scottish Gaelic word brothaigh, meaning "muddy place." Whoever picked that definition clearly knew Westies. Brodie has never met a flower bed, pile of dirt, or freshly mulched landscape he didn't think needed a little "redecorating."
His name also means "close male friend," and that's exactly what he became. He's their loyal sidekick, faithful shadow, and unpaid life coach who believes no one should ever walk from one room to another without proper canine supervision.
Like every true Westie, Brodie lives by a few simple rules:
If there's a treat... he earned it.
If someone sits down... they clearly wanted to rub his tummy.
If the door opens... it's time to go outside.
If he's outside... it's time to come back in.
If they say "No"... he hears, "Ask again in 30 seconds."
Brodie has mastered an impressive collection of tricks, but he's no amateur entertainer. Every spin, shake, or high-five comes with a price. Payment is accepted exclusively in treats, preferably delivered before the performance begins.
He's stubborn, hilarious, endlessly curious, and completely convinced that the household operates according to the "Brodie Rules." The funny part?
Everyone else seems to agree.
He's not just their second Westie.
He's their best buddy, their daily source of laughter, and the little white dog who somehow managed to fill a house—and their hearts—with joy all over again.

🌴🦩Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week! 🌴🦩
🕵️‍♂️ Case Closed... Meet Retired Detectives Charles & Daisy 🐾
After decades of undercover work in the elite Beagle Bureau of Investigations (BBI), Detectives Charles and Daisy have officially retired. At 10 years young, they've traded high-speed chases for leisurely neighborhood patrols, but don't let their sweet faces fool you—they're still on the case. Every walk is an investigation, every tree holds evidence, and every suspicious smell deserves a full forensic examination... no matter how long it takes.
Their impressive careers were built on two extraordinary talents: noses that could solve mysteries before breakfast and voices that made sure the entire neighborhood knew when they'd cracked the case. Beagles have always been famous for their incredible sense of smell, and Charles and Daisy have spent years proving that no crumb, squirrel, or unattended sandwich can escape justice. If they suddenly stop walking, it's because they've uncovered a clue. Or someone nearby opened a bag of chips. Either way, it's important.
The detectives' greatest plot twist came three years ago when they were recruited by their forever family through Southeast Beagle Rescue in Tampa, Florida. They were adopted at the distinguished age of 7—and yes, they arrived with the names Charles and Daisy already in their personnel files. Daisy had previously belonged to a hunter and had "retired" from field work because she was considered too old to hunt. In fact, before her rescue, she'd never even been on a leash! Charles, meanwhile, came from a young family that simply couldn't give him the time and attention he deserved. Thankfully, fate stepped in and partnered these two veteran detectives with the perfect family for their next assignment: living their best lives.
Of course, every great detective needs fuel, and these two firmly believe snacks are an essential part of every investigation. They'll happily inspect your pockets, supervise your lunch, and ensure no treat goes unaccounted for. Their dedication to evidence collection is second to none—especially if the evidence tastes like bacon.
When they're not solving crimes against snacks or interrogating suspicious bushes, Charles and Daisy enjoy the finer things in life: long naps, longer walks, and convincing everyone they've never been fed—not once in their entire lives. Their sad puppy-dog eyes deserve an Academy Award, their noses deserve a medal, and their detective licenses? Let's just say they're probably still active... because these two have never met a mystery—or a meatball—they weren't determined to crack.

🦜Buddy the Macaw: Mr. Smooth Feathers...the Ladies Man!
Meet Buddy, a four-year-old blue and gold macaw who somehow convinced everyone he's less of a bird and more of a tiny, feathered roommate with wings and opinions. He earned the name "Buddy" because he really is everyone's little buddy... although some days he seems more like the neighborhood supervisor. His vocabulary grows by the day, and he's figured out everyone's names, calls for his favorite people, recognizes the sound of the right vehicle pulling into the driveway, and even does such a convincing impression of his human that there have been a few moments of, "Wait... I thought you were home!" Nope. Just Buddy keeping everyone on their toes.
He's also not shy about making requests. If he's thirsty, he'll politely ask for water... complete with a "please," because apparently his manners are better than most people's. When he's ready for bed, he'll announce, "Sleepy, sleepy," like he's filing an official complaint with the management team. Leaving the house? Don't worry—Buddy has security covered. His cheerful "Goodbye!" is quickly followed by "Watch the house!" because someone has to take neighborhood watch seriously.
Now, when it comes to visitors, Buddy has a very specific hiring policy. Men? They're fine. Women? Well... suddenly he's “Mr. Smooth Feathers”. His personality shifts into full-blown charmer mode, proving without question that he's a certified ladies' bird. And when Mom is around, forget about it. Buddy becomes the world's fluffiest Velcro accessory, insisting her shoulder is the only acceptable place to be. Top it all off with his favorite Saturday showers, and it's safe to say this handsome macaw isn't just a pet—he's a hilarious, feathered comedian who runs the household... and somehow has everyone happily following his rules.

⛳Live from the Lanai... Sandy Provides Expert Golf Commentary (Whether They Asked for It or Not!)⛳
"FORE!... Nice shot... if you were aiming for the deer!"
Meet Sandy, a distinguished 14-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Red Heeler mix who's been enjoying retirement for years—and she's absolutely perfected it. Adopted from a shelter in Texas, her family still can't decide who rescued whom. What they do know is that Sandy has spent the last 14 years becoming sweeter every day while quietly assuming the role of Backyard Supervisor... and self-appointed golf heckler.
Every afternoon, Sandy reports to her favorite spot inside the lanai for her official shift as the neighborhood's poolside golf analyst. With deer gracefully wandering by and golfers generously donating golf balls to the woods, she's never short on entertainment. She watches every swing with the intensity of a PGA announcer. If those expressive eyes could talk, you'd hear things like, "FORE!... You know the fairway is the big green part, right?" or "Another one for the squirrels!" and "The deer give that shot a 10 out of 10."
Naturally, every celebrity has a contract, and Sandy's is non-negotiable. The Treat Department must follow the approved snack schedule—every single stop. Miss one treat, and her Red Heeler instincts kick into high gear. She'll lovingly herd the staff until they correct the oversight. Around here, resistance is futile. Everyone knows it's easier to hand over the treat than argue with the boss.
At 14 years young, Sandy is living proof that rescue dogs have a way of rescuing us right back. She's sweet, sassy, endlessly lovable, and the undisputed Queen of the Backyard Resort. Now, if you'll excuse her, there's a golfer lining up another shot... and apparently, her color commentary is needed.

🐾😍Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week😍🐾
Meet Sabrina🐱 ~ Max🐶 & Cooper🐶
The Stomber family recently welcomed 3-month-old Cooper, and local authorities are already considering him a repeat offender. Despite his innocent puppy face and tiny size, Cooper has quickly established himself as a full-time shenanigans coordinator, part-time demolition expert, and professional troublemaker. His weapon of choice? A yellow stuffed duck that has somehow survived the first few months of his reign of terror.
In today's episode of "Things Cooper Shouldn't Be Doing," Dad glanced over at the playpen only to discover Cooper dangling over the top like a tiny furry prison escapee halfway through his Great Escape. One minute he was safely contained. The next minute he was auditioning for Mission Impossible: Puppy Edition. Mom and Dad reportedly experienced a brief cardiac event before realizing their newest family member had simply unlocked Level 2 of Puppy Mischief.
Unfortunately, Cooper's arrival has not been warmly received by the existing members of the household. Max, a 7-year-old English Labrador Retriever, would like everyone to know that he did NOT approve this adoption. Max was originally destined for greatness as a gun dog, but after discovering that loud noises are terrifying and absolutely not his thing, he was promptly reassigned to a career in beach lounging and ball chasing.Frankly, he considers this a much better life choice. He now spends his days wondering why management brought in an unpaid intern who keeps biting his ears.
Then there's Sabrina, the 11-year-old Bombay cat who began life as a streetwise kitten roaming downtown Los Angeles before moving on to bigger and better things. Having traveled the country, loved deeply, and lived through multiple canine generations, she now prefers a quiet retirement on the lanai, soaking up the Florida sunshine and minding her own business. Unfortunately, Cooper has interpreted her peaceful retirement as a personal challenge. Sabrina has already filed 47 formal complaints and is reportedly considering legal action.
As for Cooper? He remains completely unbothered. He wakes up every morning with fresh ideas, unlimited energy, and absolutely no regard for household rules. The yellow duck is still alive, Max is questioning all of his life choices, Sabrina is plotting revenge, and Mom and Dad are learning that puppy-proofing is less of a suggestion and more of a survival strategy. Stay tuned. Something tells us this little devil is just getting started.

🐾😍Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!😍🐾
Meet Mango and Wilson: proof that cats come in exactly two varieties—tiny ninja assassin and unemployed building inspector.
Mango (8, gray) arrived from a heartbreaking situation, underweight, terrified, and so shut down that shelter staff warned she was "too depressed" to be adopted. Her family looked at this sad little face and said, "Challenge accepted." Fast forward to today, and Mango has transformed into the sweetest, gentlest soul on four paws. She earned her name because she's pure sweetness... unless it's 3 a.m. and her mom is behind a closed door. Then she suddenly develops the strength and determination of a SWAT team battering ram. She's also a silent assassin who can chase a red laser dot faster than the speed of light while making absolutely no sound. Scientists remain baffled. Even more impressive, she can leap onto the most crowded table in the house without knocking over a single item, a feat that defies both physics and every known cat stereotype.
Mango claims to dislike treats, which would make her a very unusual cat—except she has somehow decided that coffee, strawberries, and prosciutto are all fair game. Her family constantly catches her plotting snack heists that would make international jewel thieves jealous. She's not interested in being picked up, but she absolutely is interested in being exactly where her mom is at all times. Privacy is not a concept Mango recognizes.
Then there's Wilson (7, black), who technically was born behind a dumpster in downtown Philadelphia but is clearly a Labrador trapped in a cat's body. He plays fetch. He runs to the door when his humans get home. He reportedly yells "mommy!" when greeting them. He supervises every repairman who enters the house, carefully inspecting all plumbing, electrical, and cable work to ensure it meets his exact standards. Somewhere in his mind, he believes he's the homeowner and everyone else is just a renter.
Wilson was adopted as a kitten and has spent seven years cultivating extraordinarily high standards for luxury living. He owns roughly 20 beds and sleeps in exactly none of them, preferring instead whatever Amazon box has most recently entered the property. He demands hugs, requests to be carried around, and would sell out Mango for a single Churu treat. Meanwhile, he spends his days playing with the kids and annoying Mango with the dedication of a full-time professional. Together, they're one part ninja, one part dog, one-part shenanigans, and 100% convinced they run the household. Honestly, they're probably right.

💓🤩Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!🤩💓
Meet Romeo & Julieta: If Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan Had Fur Babies...
"These two giant Golden Doodles look like they should be headlining WrestleMania, but in reality, they're just oversized sweethearts whose toughest opponents are tug toys, couch cushions, and the occasional unattended lobster tail."
Meet Romeo and Julieta, two Golden Doodles named after the famous cigar brand "Romeo y Julieta"—and while they may share the names of a sophisticated cigar, sophistication is not always their strongest quality.
Together, they are equal parts sweetness, comedy, and shenanigans.
Romeo (Age 10) is the wise old gentleman of the household. Calm, gentle, sweet, and always ready for a game of tug-of-war, Romeo has spent the last decade perfecting the art of being everyone's favorite giant teddy bear.
For four years, Romeo proudly worked as Mike's office dog, reporting for duty every single day. He took his job very seriously, especially when delivery people arrived.
With his large size and deep bark, Romeo would send newcomers into a brief state of panic. Delivery drivers often approached the door expecting to meet a fearsome guard dog.
Instead, they were greeted by a giant fluffy doodle whose only mission in life was to convince them to play with him.
His version of security was essentially:
"BARK! BARK! BARK! ...Wait, where are you going? I brought a toy. Let's play!"
Then there's Julieta (Age 6).
Julieta wakes up happy.
She spends the day happy.
She goes to bed happy.
If happiness could grow fur and bounce off furniture, it would be Julieta.
She loves every human, every dog, every adventure, and every opportunity to turn ordinary moments into Olympic events. She can launch herself over a five-foot couch with the grace of a kangaroo and the decision-making skills of a toddler who just drank three juice boxes.
Nothing slows her down.
Nothing.
In fact, one day Julieta achieved what may go down as the greatest heist in household history.
A beautiful raw lobster tail had been left unattended for what seemed like a perfectly reasonable amount of time.
Apparently, Julieta disagreed.
The family looked away for a moment.
A single moment.
When they turned back around, the lobster tail had vanished without a trace.
There was no suspect.
No evidence.
No witnesses.
Only Julieta sitting beside an empty shell, wearing the expression of an innocent little angel who had definitely not committed grand theft lobster.
To this day, she has never confessed.
Together, Romeo and Julieta are the perfect duo.
One is a gentle giant who accidentally scares people while trying to make friends.
The other is a smiling, couch-flying, seafood-stealing bundle of joy.
They keep their family laughing every day and prove that life is a lot more fun when it's filled with wagging tails, giant doodle hugs, suspiciously disappearing food, and enough personality to fill an entire neighborhood.
And honestly, if there were an award for making people smile, these two would probably win it every year.
