Hi, I’m Billy.

I’m a 12 to 13-year-old gentleman, about 72 pounds, and I’m really just looking for a soft place to land and someone to love.

I’m house trained and very polite about it. I’ll quietly wait by the door when I need to go out, no barking or fussing from me. I enjoy slow, easy walks where I can take my time sniffing everything, and I love a good nap on a soft bed just as much as anything else.

I’m also a great car ride buddy, and I really like calm company. I get along well with mellow dogs, and I’d be happiest in a peaceful home where life moves at a gentle pace.

I do have some age-related aches like arthritis and a little weakness in my back legs, but I still enjoy my days and feel best when I’m comfy and loved.

I was found as a stray, but I haven’t let that change who I am. I’m still gentle, loyal, and happiest just being near my people.

If you’re in the Central Florida or Orlando area and have room in your heart for a senior like me, I’d love to meet you.

Short or Longer Term Foster Needed - No Kid/Pet Home in Central FL

Is anyone able to foster Boomer, even if for 2 weeks, just to give him a break from boarding?

If someone was able to foster longer, that would be amazing too. We are really struggling because our rescue has had ZERO foster apps. Like for any of our dogs 😔 It’s a serious issue for all rescues right now. Foster based rescues can’t function without fosters 😩

Boomer needs the following:
- No pet home
- No kid home (they scare him and me too 😅)
- He just soaks up human attention
- Potty and crate trained
- Walks awesome on leash

Medical note:
Molly is heartworm positive, which is caused by mosquito bites. She likely did not receive preventatives prior to rescue and came to us as a stray. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, and Molly is currently undergoing treatment—fully covered by the rescue. She’s a happy, healthy girl and full of energy; this hasn’t slowed her down one bit! 🏃🏻‍♀️🎾

Everyone help us wish our sweet Boomer a very happy 5th birthday 🎉🎂🎈

Thanks to some incredible volunteers, Boomer got to spend his special day out on an adventure — soaking up love, fresh air, and the kind of joy every dog deserves 🥹 For a few hours, he got a break from boarding… but our hearts break knowing he had to go right back.

Boomer has spent almost 4 years waiting for someone to choose him. Nearly his entire adult life has been spent without a forever home of his own 💔 And despite all the people who adore him, we’ve received ZERO foster applications for this boy.

No dog should spend birthday after birthday wondering when it’ll finally be their turn.

Could YOU be the person who changes Boomer’s story? Could you be the hero he’s been waiting for? 🐾

Did anyone else not want to get out of bed this morning? 🙋🏻‍♀️🥱 . Ronnie — aka Reesie Roo is soaking up the extra chill time.

This sweet girl has one big goal in life: to love her humans with her whole heart. If you’ve been searching for a devoted best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ronnie could be the one. 💛

A few things to love about her:

FOSTER NEEDED - Boomer is still waiting. 💔

We are heartbroken to share that Boomer is back in boarding. This sweet boy once again finds himself without a home environment… without a couch… without a person to call his own.

Boomer came into the shelter in 2022 as a 1-year-old puppy. Since then, he’s spent nearly his entire adult life being overlooked.

And the hardest part? Boomer is STILL one of the most loving dogs you could ever meet. Every time someone walks by his kennel, he lights up with hope. Every walk, every cuddle, every ounce of attention means the world to him — because deep down, he still believes his person is out there somewhere.

But right now, what Boomer needs most is a FOSTER HOME. He is very loved in boarding, but it’s not ideal… especially dogs like Boomer who crave human connection so deeply. He deserves soft beds, quiet evenings, belly rubs, and the chance to decompress in a real home while he continues waiting for adoption.

Boomer is:
🐾 Almost 5 years old
🐾 Around 65 lbs
🐾 Potty trained + crate trained
🐾 Neutered and fully vetted
🐾 Wonderful on walks
🐾 Non-reactive around other animals in public
🐾 Best as the only pet

He doesn’t need perfection. He doesn’t need a mansion or a huge backyard. He just needs someone willing to say: “Come home with me for now.”

📣 Calling all BOOMIE-BASSADORS 🐾 A Plea for HELP 📣

Boomer has spent almost 4 YEARS waiting for a home of his own… and we refuse to let him be forgotten. 💔

This sweet boy came into the shelter in 2022 as a 1-year-old puppy — just a baby. Since then, he’s watched countless dogs get adopted while he continues waiting for someone to finally choose HIM.

Now, Boomer is back in boarding after his foster family was no longer able to keep fostering. We’re so grateful they loved him while they could, but our hearts break knowing he’s once again without a home environment. 😔

So we’re looking for something special:
