One of the biggest things I’ve learned from working in different grooming shops is just how much the environment matters to a dog. Many salons, especially high-volume ones have to focus on speed and getting through as many dogs as possible, and that fast-paced atmosphere can be overwhelming and stressful for both the dogs and the groomers.
To me, dogs are so much more than appointments on a schedule. They are loving, feeling beings who deserve patience, kindness, and gentle care. Every dog that comes to me is treated like an individual, and my goal is for them to leave not only looking beautiful, but feeling safe and loved. I pay close attention to how they’re feeling and work at their pace so grooming can be as calm and positive an experience as possible.
