Reality is hitting for small business people like me and it’s time to adjust some prices a little. Gas is now $4.59 and I’m filling up at least twice a week, sometimes 3 during busy weeks. That’s an extra $16-$17 every fill up compared to what I was paying before. 🚗⛽️

As much as I wish I could keep absorbing all the increases, between gas, wear and tear, supplies, and just everyday business costs, it’s getting harder to do. I’ve always tried to keep my prices fair while still giving dependable, loving care to all my furry clients. 🐾❤️

I appreciate every single person that supports my small business more than you know. Truly. Small businesses everywhere are feeling it right now. Thank you for sticking with us through it all.

Took Lailia for a “walk”… turns out it’s more of a scent-by-scent investigation. She’s basically the FBI of fallen leaves. 🐾🍂

Just when you think you’ve seen it all in pet sitting… nature clocks in for a shift.

While supervising one of my bird clients in a screened pool area, an unexpected hawk decided to do a fly-by inspection. After realizing there was a barrier, he perched on the corner of the enclosure — then flew off, circled back, and made another attempt at the screen before sitting again.

Meanwhile, I’m calmly trying to recall Eos… who chose that exact moment to be a little bull-headed. 😅
She eventually flew down, and I was able to get her safely inside and secured in her cage.

It’s a good reminder that even spaces that look secure can surprise you — which is why constant supervision, quick judgment calls, and experience matter.
