💉 🐾 Medical Monday 🐾 💉

🩺 This week, our surgical team performed a cystotomy to remove bladder stones from one of our canine patients.

Bladder stones can cause discomfort, recurrent urinary tract infections, blood in the urine, straining to urinate, and in some cases, life-threatening urinary blockages if left untreated.

After surgical removal, the stones are submitted for analysis to determine their composition. This helps us develop a personalized prevention plan, which may include dietary changes, increased water intake, or other recommendations to reduce the risk of future stones.
