Happy National Dog Day to all of our furriends! 🐾

Your dogs are the reason we get to do what we love every single day. Getting to spend our days with them and being part of their lives is something we never take for granted. Our furriends make the work feel a lot less like work, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

So while today is National Dog Day, for us, every day is Dog Day. 🐶🤎

Another PAWSOME round of group classes is officially in the books! 🐾
We had the BEST time with these pups! From making new furriends, to continuing to work toward training goals with our returning students, we loved watching everyone learn, grow, and make progress with every walk!

We’re already looking forward to our next round of Back-to-School Group Classes, starting August 24th–August 29th! 📚

The best training doesn’t only happen during dedicated sessions. It happens before meals, during walks, while guests come over, and in all the little moments throughout the day. A few minutes of consistency every day goes much further than one long session every once in a while.

Not every dog wants to say hello…and that’s okay. Giving your dog the space they need builds trust, reduces stress, and helps prevent uncomfortable interactions.

Good behavior deserves to be noticed in the moment. Having treats readily available makes it easier to reward the choices you want to see more often, whether that’s checking in on a walk, ignoring distractions, or settling calmly. Reinforcement works best when it’s convenient.

The crate isn’t a punishment, it’s a safe space. When introduced properly, it can help with potty training, prevent destructive behaviors, support recovery after surgery, and give your dog a place to truly relax. A dog that can comfortably settle in a crate has an important life skill that can make stressful situations much easier.

The best vet visits are the boring ones. Wellness exams help catch small changes before they become big problems, keep vaccines and preventatives up to date, and give you a chance to ask questions about your pet’s health. Preventive care is one of the greatest gifts you can give your dog.

Not every walk needs to be about burning energy. Slowing down and letting your dog engage with their environment provides valuable mental enrichment. Sometimes the most productive walk is the one where you simply let your dog be a dog.

Progress isn’t always dramatic. Maybe your dog barked less, walked past another dog more calmly, or came when called a little faster. Those small victories add up over time. Celebrate the little wins, they’re what create lasting change.
