With the cold wave expected over the next few days, it’s important to take extra care of dogs and cats. Even here in Florida, lower temperatures can affect pets’ health, especially puppies, senior pets, and animals with chronic conditions.

Some basic precautions make all the difference:
🐶 Keep your pet warm, especially at night
🐱 Avoid walks during the coldest hours
🏠 Provide a dry, wind-protected, and comfortable space
🛁 Avoid bathing on very cold days
🍲 Watch for changes in behavior, appetite, or shivering

Cold weather may seem harmless, but it can lead to respiratory issues, joint pain, and a weakened immune system.
