Update about Poodle Paws & Co.

We’re going to be taking a break from custom orders for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, both of our sewing machines have reached the point where replacing them makes more sense than repairing them. The wear and tear of collar making on hobby level machines has finally gotten to them and we will be needing to upgrade to industrial machines. Due to our collars being affordable compared to the market we have not turned a profit to be able to afford new machines at this time.

We can’t thank you all enough for supporting our small business over the years. It truly means the world to us. While we’re on break, all premade collars are 20% off.

Thank you all for your support and loving our collars. All custom orders pending will be put on pause unless specifically specified. 🩵

Why satin collars??

Something I’ve learned from owning and grooming 3 poodles is that collars can really affect coat more than people think.

Satin-lined collars are a lot gentler on the coat. There’s less friction, so you don’t get as much breakage or matting over time.

I also prefer thicker collars because they don’t sit and rub in one small spot all day and can help to evenly distribute pressure. It just seems to be easier on their neck overall.

And my dogs aren’t in collars 24/7.
They wear them when we’re out or doing something, but at home they’re usually off.

We are hosting a 🚨RAFFLE🚨!! The purpose of this raffle is to raise funds for our friend Dani Qualhiem of Kvali Standard Poodles whose son was diagnosed with leukemia. Read more about this in our other post. We will have 30 spots at $15 each and the prize is a CUSTOM leash and collar set! Dani of Kvali Standard Poodles who is one of the kindest people I know as well as one of my closest friends and has been an amazing mentor to me. She is the breeder of 2 of my poodles, Indy and Lincoln. Her son, Jorren was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is staying in a hospital 3 hours away from their home. I cannot imagine how hard this must be on her, her family, and of course her son. Dani is alway the first to jump and help and has been such a gift to our poodle community. We are keeping Jorren and the Qualhiem family in our hearts.
