🤩🎉 It's a CVH Homecoming! 🎉🤩
18 years ago, a young man named CJ applied for a Veterinary Assistant position here at CVH. His experience at that time was a kid who tried to rescue anything. This 16 year old student told us all he ever wanted to do was work with animals and maybe even go to veterinary school. He was hired as an Assistant and did a great job during his high school years. He continued to work in pet rescue and did pet sitting on the side. CJ left us for the college and proudly sported the Blue/Orange of the Florida Gators. During his holiday/summer breaks from UF, he would always come back to CVH to work and never skipped a beat. Also, during his time in college, he had the opportunity to grow his skill set and became a Veterinary Technician working at AVS Specialty Hospital and at an Animal Emergency Clinic. After graduating college, CJ came back to CVH and worked as a Veterinary Technician for several years. He branched out his skill set by working at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic locally and a pet safety hotline. Even though he was not at CVH he was still helping animals! He even worked with his best friend's family business. We continued reached out to CJ to consult with us on various projects over the years. Although he left CVH for a few years, he never left the CVH family!
2 months ago, CJ saw our sign that said Now Hiring Exp. Vet Tech. That sign triggered CJ who had been missing the ability to make a difference in pet's lives. He true love and passion was always helping animals no matter where live might have taken him. He reached out to Donna, who has known him since he was that young 16 year old with ambition in his eyes. They talked, they met, they signed employment papers and surprised the rest of the CVH team.
Today, 18 years later CJ has returned home to CVH. Yes, it is a bit of a Homecoming for us all. Most of you have known CJ or his family and seen him grow up here at CVH. While this is a surprise to you all, it's really just coming full circle for us. CJ left CVH for a while, but never left the CVH family!
💙 Yes....CJ is back at CVH! 💙
Make sure to give him a big CVH "Welcome Back!" 🎊
Make sure to say hi when you come in. 👋
