She’s home… but nothing feels okay.

My American Akita girl made it through surgery this morning, but seeing her like this breaks my heart. The dog who always walked with confidence can barely lift her head. The strength I’ve always admired is hidden beneath pain she doesn’t understand.

Her side is shaved.
Her body is stitched together.
Her eyes look so tired.

When we walked through the door, she didn’t run inside. She didn’t wag her tail. She just stood there for a moment, as if she wasn’t sure her body would carry her. Then she slowly climbed onto the couch, curled up, and rested.

She didn’t cry.
Somehow, that hurts even more.

She laid her head in my lap, trusting me with a body that aches. Dogs don’t understand surgery. They don’t know why they hurt. They simply endure it with a quiet courage that leaves us speechless.

Tonight, she’s wrapped in bandages, exhausted, and sleeping beside me. I wish I could take every bit of her pain away. Since I can’t, I’ll stay right here with her, loving her through every step of healing.

Please keep my sweet girl in your thoughts and send her a little love. We’re hoping tomorrow is just a little easier than today. ❤️🐾

My American Akita has completely lost his mind over this crocodile toy — it’s honestly hilarious. 🐊😂

He won’t go anywhere without it. He carries it all around the house and even falls asleep with it tucked between his paws like it’s his best friend.

It’s like he finally found his soulmate… but in crocodile form.

What’s even better is how tough this thing is. My dog has tried everything — biting, shaking, pulling, even launching it across the room — and it still looks brand new.

The fun squeaky ball hidden inside the crocodile keeps him busy for hours. For the first time, I feel like I’ve found a toy that can actually keep up with his crazy energy.

He’s calmer, happier, and my furniture is finally safe.

I honestly never thought a toy could make this much of a difference… but this crocodile toy definitely did — and I’m so glad I found it! 🐾
