Frankie came to see us for his ACTH stimulation test today and was so comfortable, sweet, and happy to see everyone! 🖤🤍🐾

An ACTH stim test is commonly used to help monitor a condition called Cushing’s disease in dogs. Cushing’s occurs when the body produces too much cortisol, a stress hormone that affects many systems in the body. Dogs with Cushing’s may show signs like increased thirst and urination, increased appetite, panting, hair loss, a pot-bellied appearance, or recurrent skin infections.

While Cushing’s disease can’t always be cured, many dogs can live happy, comfortable lives with proper diagnosis, monitoring, and medication management. Regular rechecks and testing, like Frankie’s ACTH stim test, are an important part of making sure treatment is working safely and effectively. 🩺

Frankie was an absolute superstar for his visit today and soaked up all the love and attention from our team! 💕

🐾 Meet Boone! 🖤

This happy little guy came in to see us for some itchy skin and allergy concerns, and he made everyone smile from the moment he walked through the door! Boone was incredibly sweet, playful, and full of tail wags during his visit. 😊

Skin allergies are one of the most common issues we see in dogs and can show up as itching, licking, chewing at the paws, ear infections, redness, or irritated skin. Since allergies can worsen over time, it’s important to address symptoms early to help keep pets comfortable and prevent secondary infections.

If your pet has been scratching more than usual, don’t ignore it — we’re here to help find relief and get them feeling their best!

Thanks for visiting us, Boone! We hope you’re feeling more comfortable soon. 🐶💕

Simon and Clara stopped by for their annual senior wellness exams, and they were all smiles for their visit! 🐾💙

As our pets get older, routine checkups become even more important. Senior exams help us monitor for age-related changes that may not always be obvious at home. Things like arthritis, dental disease, vision or hearing changes, weight fluctuations, and early signs of organ disease can develop gradually over time.

Regular wellness visits allow us to catch concerns early, keep pets comfortable, and help them maintain the best quality of life possible throughout their golden years. Even if your senior pet seems perfectly healthy, yearly (and sometimes twice-yearly) exams are one of the best ways to stay ahead of potential problems.

We loved seeing Simon and Clara and helping keep these sweet seniors happy and healthy! 🐶✨

This cutie is one of two kittens that we’ve seen this week that was found next to a car’s engine. While they’re undeniably adorable, kittens often need extra care and attention to get off to a healthy start.

If you’ve found a kitten outside and are planning to keep them, here are a few important steps to take:

🍼 Estimate age & feeding needs
Very young kittens (under 4–5 weeks) require bottle feeding and round-the-clock care. Older kittens can transition to wet food.

🏥 Schedule a veterinary visit ASAP
A check-up helps determine age, overall health, and any urgent needs like deworming or treatment for fleas, parasites, or infections.

💉 Start vaccinations & preventive care
Kittens need a series of vaccines, along with flea/tick and heartworm prevention (yes—even indoor cats can be at risk!).

😺 Plan for spay/neuter
When the time is right, this helps prevent future litters and supports your kitten’s long-term health.

💛 Give them patience & love
Many outdoor kittens need time to adjust to indoor life. A calm, safe space goes a long way.

If you’re unsure what to do or need guidance, our team is always here to help. Together, we can give these little ones the best possible start. 🐾

It’s Veterinary Receptionist Week, and we’re so excited to introduce one of the friendly faces who helps keep our hospital running smoothly—Jenna! 🐾

Jenna, originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, has joined us here in the state of Florida after living in Tennessee for the last few years. With many furry critters of her own, she loves animals of all shapes and sizes which influenced her decision in working with animals full-time! When she’s not at work, you can find her at one of the local theme parks or cuddled up at home with her fur babies!

From answering your calls to making sure your pets feel welcome from the moment they walk through our doors, Jenna plays such an important role in your pet’s care. Be sure to say hello and help us thank her for all she does! 💙

Koko stopped by for her annual visit and gave us the biggest smile—but like many pets, vet visits can make her a little anxious 💙🐾

The good news is that she’s not alone, and there are safe, effective anxiety medication options that can help make visits less stressful for both pets and their people. If your pet gets nervous about coming to the vet, it’s always a great idea to bring it up during your appointment so we can talk through personalized options to keep them as comfortable as possible.

We’re so proud of Koko for being brave and letting us take great care of her! 🐶✨

George came to see us recently, and we couldn’t help but smile at his roarsome new look! 🦁✨

After having a mass removed, George needed some fur shaved for his procedure—but his awesome family turned it into something fun by giving him a lion-style haircut to match. Safe to say, he’s rocking it!

George did great for his surgery, and we’re so happy to see him back on his feet and feeling good. 💛 This is also a great reminder of how important it is to have any new lumps or bumps checked out early—early detection can make a big difference in treatment and outcomes.

Give this brave (and very stylish) boy some love in the comments! 🐾

Ozzy may have been dropped off for some diagnostics, but he made sure to schedule in plenty of cuddles too 💙🐾
We know drop-offs can feel a little nerve-wracking—for both pets and their people. But rest assured, even if your pet is feeling a bit nervous, they’ll be surrounded by lots of love, comfort, and attention while they’re with us. Ozzy was a perfect example—soaking up all the snuggles every chance he got! 🥰

Hollie was the sweetest patient during her visit! 🐾💜 She stopped by for her Cytopoint injection to help keep those pesky allergies under control—and of course, she made sure to collect plenty of treats along the way!

Did you know that while there’s no cure for allergies, there are safe and effective ways to manage the symptoms? Cytopoint is one of several options we use to help control itching and improve your pet’s quality of life. It works by targeting the itch signal itself, giving relief without side effects to worry about.

Even better—most pets experience relief for 4–8 weeks with a single injection! If your pet is constantly scratching, licking, or uncomfortable, we’re here to help find the best plan for them. 🐶✨
