Saving the day, one client, call, and cuddle at a time 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️💥

This Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating our real-life superheroes—Oliver, Kat, Danielle, and Julie! From keeping the schedule running smoothly to comforting worried pet parents, you all are the heart of our front desk and the first friendly face everyone sees.

We loved bringing your superpowers to life with your very own comics… but let’s be real, you don’t need capes to be heroes around here ❤️🐾

Thank you for everything you do—for our team, our clients, and every pet that walks through our doors. You make the magic happen every single day ✨

POV: hydration… but make it chaos 😂

We told Dr. Martin it was just a normal day—meanwhile the entire team showed up ready for the “anything but a water bottle” prank 💀 From the creativity to the commitment, this one is definitely going down as one of the best in Loch Haven history.

Shoutout to Dr. Martin for being the BEST sport and playing along like a champ 👏 We may have teamed up against you this time… but it was 100% worth it.

All paws up for Ally 🐾🏆

Huge congratulations to our Top Dog of the Month! This award is extra special because it comes straight from the team—recognizing the person who consistently goes above and beyond for both our patients and each other.

Ally, your dedication to safety, your commitment to teamwork, your authenticity, and your drive for continuous growth truly embody everything we stand for at Loch Haven. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and your impact is felt every single day.

We’re so lucky to have you on our team—keep shining ✨

POV: meeting your manager’s baby on her first day back… and immediately understanding the new chain of command 🍼👶😂
We love our new little team member already!!

🎮🏁 Mario Kart vibes but make it vet med 🧤💨

🎶 “Sanitize… sanitize… sanitize!” 🎶
When the glove challenge begins and it’s a full-speed race to stay sterile 🏎️💨

Dodging contamination like it’s a banana peel 🍌
Hitting every pump like a boost pad ⚡
Gloves on, game face ON 😤

Because in this clinic, we don’t just play…
we race for the cleanest hands in the game 🧼🏆

Keeping your pet on prevention year-round isn’t “extra” — it’s essential. 🐾💊

Fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites don’t take seasons off (especially here in Florida 👀). Even indoor pets are at risk! Staying consistent with prevention means:

✔️ Protecting against heartworm disease (which is costly — and dangerous — to treat)
✔️ Preventing itchy flea infestations in your home
✔️ Reducing the risk of tick-borne illnesses
✔️ Protecting your family from zoonotic parasites
✔️ Saving money in the long run by avoiding preventable illness

One monthly dose = peace of mind all year long.

Not sure what prevention is best for your pet? We’re always happy to help you choose the safest, most effective option. 🩺🐶🐱

Some patients wake up from anesthesia like 😴… and some wake up like 🎤🐶 “HELLO I HAVE THINGS TO SAY.”

Just like people, every pet recovers differently. As they come out of anesthesia, we closely monitor:

🫀 Heart rate & rhythm
🌬 Respiratory rate & oxygen levels
🌡 Body temperature
🩸 Blood pressure
👀 Mentation (how aware they are)
💉 Pain level

Our recovery area is where the real VIP treatment happens — warm blankets, oxygen support if needed, and a tech assigned to monitor them closely as they transition from sleepy to steady on their paws.

Some patients get a little extra vocal as the anesthetic wears off. This can be from:
• Disorientation (they’re waking up confused)
• Sensitivity to the medications
• Breed/personality traits (looking at you, huskies 👀)
• Mild anxiety as they regain awareness

If a patient is especially vocal but otherwise stable, we may call for an earlier pick-up time. Often, hearing your voice and getting back to their normal environment helps them settle faster than anything we can provide in-clinic.

Rest assured — vocal doesn’t automatically mean painful. We assess pain separately and treat it proactively. Our goal is always a smooth, safe, and comfortable recovery.

Every pet. Every time. 💙🐾

We like our surgery suite how we like our playlists: 🎧 on point.
While we’re jamming to the best tunes, our patients are in a dedicated, sterile surgical suite that meets American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) aseptic guidelines—because safety always comes first.
Good music, great medicine, and the highest standards of care. 🐾✨

Where does it say ‘required to star in reels’??
I thought I was hired for patient care not patiently caring about content 💀🎬🐾

If anyone sees my manager, tell them I’m exhibiting clinical signs of ‘I need help real quick’ 😂💉
