~Today, Mother’s Day, we are ready to share Bella’s Story ~
This sweet girl came to us in January - heartbroken after her human mother passed away. She had stopped eating, given up on life, given up on love.
Bella weighed only 5.6 # after a healthy weight of 11.1 # last November...a loss of almost 50% of her body weight. Her organs were shutting down. SHE was shutting down....
Sadly, Bella was scheduled for euthanasia... BUT... our team wanted to give her a chance, a chance to live, a chance to be loved once again.
Our team quickly went to work. With a LOT of loving encouragement, daily fluids, medications, attempts to feed, and finally placing a feeding tube - she slowly began to heal. Day by day, she gained weight, gained strength, her coat grew softer, and her eyes started to sparkle again.
Through it all, Bella showed an incredible resilience—and the sweetest, most tender heart. She taught each of us how with kindness, patience, and time - the heart CAN heal💕
Today Bella is bright-eyed and ready to give (and receive) so much love. 🐱
How would we describe BELLA now?
B - eautiful — a gorgeous calico coat with captivating big green eyes
E - xpressive — a talker who greets you with a soft, sweet meow
L - oving — a calm, soft presence who thrives in a loving environment
L - aid-back — easy going, mellow
A - ffectionate — seeks pets, purrs, makes biscuits and loves being near her people. We feel she would do well with another mellow cat and with "cat savvy" dogs.
If you’ve been waiting for a cat to love with your whole heart, Bella might be the one. 💗
Please SHARE Bella's story - Let’s get this beautiful, sweet girl the forever home she deserves.
