Why are Valais BN so expensive? Here is a perspective.… there are about 100 - 400 Valais here in the US depending on who you talk to. In Switzerland 14,000. Down Under 38.… why are some breeders so stringent? Because as you can see this is a rare breed worldwide and in order for the US population to grow they must be within certain guidelines to receive semen and eggs.

Today is suppose to be 87 degrees and it's Shearing Day at DD Farms. A huge shout out to JReed at WeLoveSheep.com. They provide a full service for those that don't want to do it. Trimming, shearing, worming, etc. Very professional and knowledge-able.
