🐾 A quick overnight stay for Cooper! 💚

Cooper came to our ER after developing an infection at his surgical site following a mass removal. He was hospitalized overnight so our team could keep a close eye on him and get him feeling better.

During his stay, our doctor was able to revise and clean up his surgical site, get him started on some much-needed medications, and make sure he was comfortable throughout the night. 🩺🐶

Thankfully, Cooper did great and was able to head back home the next morning! We loved having this sweet boy as our overnight guest, but we’re even happier to see him feeling better and going home. 💕

🐾 Sweet Noelle stole our hearts!💕

Noelle came to our ER after experiencing bloody diarrhea and having no interest in eating. Even though she was feeling pretty crummy, she was still the absolute sweetest girl and quickly won over our entire team. 🥹🐶

She especially found a friend in our summer veterinary technician extern, Giovanna, who made sure Noelle got plenty of extra love and comfort during her stay. 💚

Sometimes the patients who aren’t feeling their best give us the biggest reasons to smile. We’re so glad we got to care for you, Noelle! 🐾🩺

✨MEET THE TEAM MONDAY: DR. GARTLAN✨

This week, we’re introducing Dr. Gartlan — an incredible doctor who brings plenty of knowledge, quick wit, and laughs to our ER team. 🩺🐾

Let’s get to know some of her favorites:

🩵 Color: Light blue
🎾 Sport: Watching tennis, but playing pickleball
🍕 Food: Tavern-style pizza & salad — specifically from Middle Brow Bungalow
🐶 Animal: Tino. Not dogs. Not a specific breed. TINO.
🌶️ Drink: A spicy marg OR a Diet Coke with lime
🏃‍♀️☕ Hobbies: Running or exploring new coffee shops with, you guessed it… Tino.

If you haven’t caught on yet, Tino is Dr. Gartlan’s world, and we’re pretty sure he knows it. 😂

Dr. Gartlan is an amazing doctor, a hilarious coworker, and always keeps us on our toes with her quick wit. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our Premier Orland Park team! 💙

And Tino… thanks for letting us borrow her. 🐾😂

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Alexis , our Cultural Ambassador!💚🐾

Veterinary medicine can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also come with some tough days. That’s why Alexis’ role is so important! As our Cultural Ambassador, she helps promote positivity on the floor, encourages our team to support one another, and reminds us to celebrate the difference we make for our patients every single day. 🩺🐶🐱

Whether it’s boosting morale, bringing some fun to a busy shift, or simply reminding a teammate that they’re doing a great job, Alexis helps make Premier Orland Park a supportive place for both our staff and the animals in our care. 💚

🐾 Cooper’s Comeback Story💙

Sweet little Cooper came to our ER after being attacked by another dog. When he arrived, he was in poor condition with severe blood loss and concerns for significant trauma. His family elected to hospitalize him so our team could provide treatment and closely monitor his recovery. 🩺

With lots of TLC, pain medication, a blood transfusion, time in the oxygen cage, and some much-needed rest, Cooper slowly began showing us that he was headed in the right direction. ❤️‍🩹

Through everything, Cooper was the perfect little patient and quickly stole the hearts of our team. Seeing him get stronger and stronger made the best moment even sweeter — watching him finally head home!🥹🐶

Way to go, Cooper! We were so happy to be part of your recovery and even happier to see you feeling better. 💙🐾

🐾 Meet the Team Monday! 🐾

This week we're introducing one of our amazing emergency veterinarians, Dr. Pavlinac! 💚

If you've spent any time around our hospital, you've probably heard that she's proudly known as the crazy cat lady—and she'll wear that title with honor! 🐱 Her favorite feline is none other than Cleocatra, who definitely rules the household.

A few of Dr. Pavlinac's favorites:

🍬🐾 Meet Tinley!

Sweet Tinley gave her family quite the scare after getting into something containing **xylitol**, a sweetener that can be extremely dangerous for dogs.

Her family did exactly the right thing by acting quickly and contacting **Pet Poison Helpline**. Based on what Tinley ingested and the amount, they advised that she could be safely monitored from home—meaning no hospitalization was needed. 💚

Not every xylitol exposure is the same, which is why it's so important **not to wait for symptoms**. If your pet gets into something that could be toxic, call a poison hotline or seek veterinary care right away. Early intervention can make all the difference.

We're so happy Tinley is doing well! 🐶💚
