Orland Township's 2024 SuPETvisor is SIREN!

With a total of 309 votes, Siren has won the title of Orland Township's SuPETvisor! Paul O'Grady, Orland Township Supervisor is proud to have a 'paw-fect' new leader around!

Siren is described as the most happy, playful, and lovable dog. She loves to play ball and is always eager to train every day and learn new things. She loves to smile and give kisses! She always has a smile on her face. She loves to go on adventures and make new friends! Siren always wants to take charge and likes to be in command of all situations.

Looking for an op-paw-tunity to congratulate our new SuPETvisor!
Catch her on stage tomorrow at Pet-Palooza, where she'll make her special guest appearance before the Pet Contests at 1:45!

The pet photo with the most likes (reactions) on Facebook by 11:59p on Thursday, Sept. 19, will be elected as winner. 🥇

Our winner will be announced online the Friday before Pet-Palooza (Sept. 20) at noon!

Don't forget to register for Orland Township Pet-Palooza SuPETvisor photo contest!

Orland Township residents can nominate their beloved pets to be Orland Township’s ‘SuPETvisor’ of The Year! Official contest rules atwww.orlandtownship.org/supetvisor.

Residents can nominate their pet between Monday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 29, by messaging the Pet-Palooza page (www.facebook.com/orlandtownshippetpalooza) a photo. The message should include their pet’s name and a few sentences about why he/she would make a great ‘SuPETvisor’. The message should also include a contact number and proof of Orland Township residency (ID).

Between Monday, Sept. 9 and Thursday, Sept. 19, everyone is invited to view all the nominees in a special Facebook post and vote for their favorite(s)! The winner will receive special recognition at the event and will be featured on select media for the next annual Pet-Palooza.

Orland Township is deeply saddened and devastated by the loss of Robin Kassis, our Orland Township Food & Pet Pantry Coordinator.

Robin was a passionate and hardworking woman who dedicated every day to providing for her community. She impacted countless people of all ages through the Food Pantry, Holiday Programs, food drives, and daily services offered at Orland Township.

Orland Township has lost more than just an employee. Passionate, hardworking, dedicated, and strong are just a few words to describe Robin.

“Where there is a will, there is a way” is a phrase that will always reflect Robin’s personality and mentality.

Robin fed, helped, guided, and supported members and families in our community. She truly put her heart and soul into everything she did. Robin continuously looked for ways to improve and add to our services year-round. She spent countless hours after work and on weekends, even if it was just to pick up a food donation or make sure a student was able to meet their community service hour requirement. On her sickest days, she would still coordinate to ensure that she wouldn’t let anyone or the Food Pantry down. In the middle of all the chaos, Robin always found time to be there as a mother to her 4 children: Taylor, Alexandra, Jonathan, and Leah.

While we will never be able to truly thank her for all that she has done for Orland Township since 2013, she will be dearly missed by all, and we ask for your prayers for her family during this time.

To honor Robin's legacy, consider donating non-perishable food items to the Orland Township Food & Pet Pantry and attend Pet-Palooza on Saturday, September 21.

Get ready for a "purr-fectly" fun day at Orland Township's 12th annual Pet-Palooza! 🎉🐶🐱

Date: Saturday, September 21
Location: Orland Township Grounds, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, IL
Time: Noon to 3:00 pm. Rain or shine!

Bring your furry friends and family for a day packed with pet-friendly activities, games, local vendors, delicious food, and more! All proceeds support the Orland Township Pet Pantry.

Admission is FREE, but we encourage a donation of a 5-pound bag of pet food or a cash donation to support the Pet Pantry.

Get ready to dab your way to victory! We're offering BINGO at Pet-Palooza's main tent this year! Grab your friends, bring your lucky charms, and prepare for some thrilling bingo action!

Bingo preparation begins at noon, with the first game starting at 12:20 p.m. and lasting for 40 minutes. Second round begins at 1:10, lasting for 25 minutes!
