Nine of us from our petsitting group - Professional Petsitters of the Upper Valley - https://www.ppsuppervalley.com/meetourmembers - participated in a volunteer day at the Upper Valley Humane Society ( https://uvhs.org/ ) this past weekend. We organized the area of donations and the food pantry and had a wonderful time getting to know our new members as well as catching up with everyone!

UVHS is a wonderful resource in the Upper Valley of NH & VT and has so many programs available from emergency boarding, to low cost spay and neuter clinics, to some of the cutest animals available for adoption that you will find! Check them out!

Meet our Members! Liz Gage Liz founded her business, Creature Companion, in 2005. She serves Cornish, Plainfield, Windsor, and limited areas of surrounding towns. Liz does not provide overnight care, but is happy to help with dog walks, cat care, hobby farms, and small animals. She’s a solo Sitter...

Hi everyone! I’m hoping everybody is surviving the cold snowy winter!

Just wanted to let you all know that as well as doing no pet sits this winter, I’m taking on no new OVERNIGHT clients in 2026.

I am definitely happy to answer new inquiries about drop-in care this spring and summer for your dogs, cats, and other assorted animals in the Orford/Lyme area!

I am extremely pleased to announce that I have recently been voted in as a member of Professional Pet Sitters of the Upper Valley! The mission statement is "Established in 2023, we are a membership-based organization with a mission of promoting excellence in our profession, collaboration with our community and mentoring new professionals."

The requirements for membership support this (OUR!) motto - some of these requirements are to complete a pet first aid / CPR class; to work with a contract; to be insured; to pay state/federal taxes and to attend at least 6 meetings per year. The whole goal is to bring professional, caring and educated care to your pets so you can feel confident when you hire a pet sitter from within the group!

This group has been so helpful to me even before I became a member and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person soon and learning so much more from their accumulated years of experience!
