The best part of what we do is getting to love and care for so many dogs over the years as if they were our own. With that love comes the hardest part: saying goodbye, again and again. It’s the quiet reality of caring for dogs through every stage of life, the cost of loving them so deeply.

As some of our long-time pack members crossed the rainbow bridge, we started a small photo memorial on our fridge to keep them close. Over time, it grew, until one fridge could no longer hold all the faces we carry with us.

While their stories will always live on in the memories we share and in the dogs who follow in their pawprints, we wanted to create a space that honors them more fully, a place for our team to pause and celebrate the lives we were lucky enough to be part of.

Creating this memorial wasn’t easy. There were tears along every step of the way, as our team relived the grief and the joy as if it happened just yesterday.

Thank you for trusting us with your dogs, and for letting them become part of our family, just as they are yours. And to every dog who has come through our doors, you’ve left your mark on us in ways we’ll carry forever.

You will always be part of our pack ❤️

We’re excited to officially welcome Courtney to our training team! 🐾

Over the past 3 years at Ruff House, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into an incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and passionate dog advocate. Courtney has a special gift for helping both dogs and their people better understand each other, whether that’s working through big feelings on walks, building confidence, or celebrating the small wins along the way.

Her experience with reactive and medically complex dogs has shaped a deep commitment to health, wellbeing, and truly listening to what our dogs are trying to tell us. She’s especially passionate about helping rescue dogs transition into their homes and thrive, as she has with her own dog, Maggie.
