How about a product recommendation?
If you own (or walk) a dog with a history of chewing through leashes, or if you just think this is a real possibility, the brand you want is the TuffLeash, with a clip (not a carabiner*).
This is a woven nylon leash encasing TWO steel cables. In theory a dog could chew through these but it would take a very long time.
No other “chew-proof” leash works.
•Some just aren’t — a heavy round rope leash won’t deter a leash chewer.
•Chain leashes are dangerous and painful to handle.
•Plastic coated steel cables are miserable to handle.
The TuffLeash doesn’t do a good job of SEO. It doesn’t come up high in search results and that’s a shame.
It’s pricy ($50-60) but you only have to buy it once. Every dog walker should have one, just in case.
Footnote: carabiner clips are fine if you like them. For some reason, this company doesn’t put the ‘biner on a swivel so the leash *will twist.* Trust me, get the clip.
Durable dog leashes and collars infused with braided stainless steel cable so dogs can't chew through. All leashes and collars have a limited lifetime warranty. Handmade in the USA. Dog gear that's built to last.
