Several of you asked about Patrick after seeing a new face in our posts this weekend, so I wanted to share an update!
Patrick is doing really well! He decided to sell the business and pursue other opportunities, and in April he gave me the privilege of purchasing Fidelis K9. We’re friends and stay in regular contact, and I’m honored to carry forward the excellent dog training he established here.
For those I haven’t met yet, I’m Shon Williams. I’m a West Point graduate and retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel who served 24 years in the military and has spent the past 12 years leading and building businesses.
Since 1999, I’ve had a passion for working with my own dogs, learning from professional trainers, and deepening my understanding of how dogs think, learn, and connect with people. I currently have three rescue dogs of my own. I’ve seen firsthand how structure, consistency, communication, and trust can make life better for dogs and their families. Owning Fidelis K9 brings that passion together with my experience leading teams and serving others.
Our amazing trainers Antonio and Alejandra are still here, providing the same excellent training and personal care our community knows us for. Caring for your dogs and improving the lives of people and their dogs remain our top priorities.
We’ve already made some exciting changes! We’ve introduced new puppy programs, revamped our group class program with outdoor classes twice a month, added offsite private lessons, and introduced daytime enrichment and refresher days for current clients and graduates.
We also have exciting community partnerships underway and new systems to improve communication with our clients.
We’re planning a ribbon cutting to celebrate this next chapter, and I’d love to see you there!
Thank you to Orangevale and the surrounding communities for the warm welcome and continued trust.
And Patrick, thank you for the years you’ve dedicated to helping dogs and their families. I’m proud to continue that work with our team.
More to come!
