🐱 5-Day Stray Hold – Spark 🎆

This adorable kitten came into the shelter as a stray and is currently on a 5-day stray hold.

We've named this little one Spark because of its spicy personality and curious nature! While Spark may have a little sass, there's no denying how cute and full of character this kitten is.

After the stray hold, Spark will be in need of a rescue placement.

🐦 A Tiny Life Saved Today 🐦

Today, one of Animal Control officers responded to an unusual call involving a tiny baby bird that was discovered inside a warehouse. The little one was severely overheated from the conditions but was still hanging on and showing signs of life.

Thankfully, the bird was safely rescued and transported to a wildlife rehabilitation center where it can hopefully receive the specialized care it needs to recover and thrive.

While many people think our work revolves solely around cats and dogs, animal welfare often extends far beyond that. From wildlife to domesticated animals of all kinds, we never know what each day will bring.

We're grateful this tiny survivor got a second chance. ❤️🐦

Stray Intake - River 🐕 💙
5-Day Stray Hold

River's story started with a call about an "aggressive" stray dog in Cope, SC. But when Animal Control arrived, they quickly discovered that River wasn't aggressive at all — he was simply desperate for attention, affection, and someone to love him.

This handsome boy is full of energy, tail wags, and endless kisses. River meets every stranger with sloppy dog kisses and with a friendly smile along with plenty of cuddles.

His biggest crime? Loving people a little too much.

River is currently on his stray hold, but once that hold is complete, he will need a rescue to help him get the second chance he deserves. We can't imagine this sweet, affectionate boy spending any longer in a shelter than necessary.

If you're a rescue looking for a dog with a wonderful personality and a heart full of love, River is your guy.

At this time, Marbles is on a 5-day stray hold. After the hold is completed, Marbles will be in need of a rescue placement. Kittens do best in foster-based rescue environments where they can receive the specialized care, socialization, and attention they need to thrive.
