If you’d like to get involved, there’s several ways to help:

Donate some time: volunteers are needed to help staff the adoption fair on the weekends, as well as come in mid week to play with and clean up after the kitties. Teen volunteers needing community service time are welcome too. Contact Cats in Need by email to get started. (cin-sa@ho

tmail.org)

Donate supplies: Cat food (dry and wet) and liter is always welcomed. So are toys, cat beds, and combs and brushes. Even packs of printer paper help offset the costs! Donate money: As a 501(c) charity, your money is not only tax deductible, its going to help the kitties with things like vet bills (shots and spay/neuter) as well as the costs of general food and liter care. You can donate securely online through your shopping(http://www.igive.com/welcome/warmwelcome.cfm?c=11604) or in person in their donation box during the weekend adoption shows. A check can be mailed to:

🙋‍♀️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Have you thought about fostering?
We are always seeking local families to help with fostering cats and kittens found in our local communities

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Our fosters are all local families and individuals who are able to balance kitten fostering alongside their careers, families and extracurricular activities!

😸All you need to get started is:
✅️ SPACE- A clean bedroom, bathroom, or space for a playpen in a corner of the home
✅️ TIME - Kittens enjoy playtime and socialization, and of course need to be fed, litter cleaned, etc...

👍You decide how many kittens to foster at once, if you can handle medical needs or not, what age, and for how long!

🏥 Cats in Need provides all medical care and vetting, and can provide supplies if needed

🧒👧 Your High Schoolers can earn their community service hours by helping to care for cute kittens!

✉️ Please text 714-561-3117 if you are able to help a cat or kitten in need, or if you'd like additional information or have questions

Here are some FAQs:

Q: "How do you give them up? I worry I'll "Foster Fail" and want to keep them!"

A: Our rescue thoroughly vets the families that adopt our kitties. By opening your home to one or more babies for a short period, and then sending them to their new loving family, you're not only saving a life, but then you are able to save even more by continuing to foster again and again!

Q: "What if I have cats and dogs of my own?"

A: Fosters that have resident pets (and kids!) contribute to some of our most well-rounded foster kittens! The kitties learn to live comfortably with other animals and in a loving environment full of lots of noise and wet noses!

Q: "We work full time, can we still foster?"

A: Absolutely! Most all of our fosters are employed full-time. Foster kitties over 6-weeks or so can happily chill at home with their kibble and water until you get home for snuggles.

Reasons fostering may not be right for you:
✅️ A functioning doggy door
✅️ Severe cat allergies or unknown allergies in the home
✅️ Resident cats allowed outdoors
✅️ Resident dog(s) with high prey drive
✅️ Non-pet-responsible children in the home
✅️ You want to adopt a kitty. (In this case, please visit Ca228.petfinder.com to find the right kitty for you!)

🏵Introducing Cleo!

🏵This uniquely beautiful "tabico" princess is as delightful as she is jaw-dropping gorgeous!

🏵Cleo is a rare and fiery tabico beauty with Bengal-like swirls and irresistible copper eyes

🏵At just 12-weeks-old, Cleo is already serving main character energy

🏵She’s thoughtful, playful, and a total sweetheart with the softest meow you’ve ever heard

🏵If she finds herself alone you'll hear her tiny 'mew mew' calling around for a buddy to keep her company - it's so sweet!

🐈We can't understate how much Cleo LOVES other cats! When she first meets a human she can be a little standoffish and nervous (until the toys come out).

🐈But with cats she's a total social butterfly right off the bat! When she meets a new cat she hardly takes a second to touch noses before doing a full-body rub along their side and then nuzzling their face and neck - it's adorable!

🏵With humans Cleo is very sweet and adorably cuddly. She takes a day or so to really warm up (as previously mentioned toys help immensely) but once she knows she's safe and loved she's an absolute delight!

🏡Cleo is best suited to a quiet home as a companion to a friendly kitty to play with.
She would be a great fit for a couple or single looking for a smart, sweet (and oh-so-beautiful!) baby girl to dote on and bond with.

❤️Cleo needs an experienced adopter who understands cat behavior and will give her grace and patience as she settles-in and blossoms into her true self

😻Here is a quick note from Cleo's foster:
"Cleo is an absolute darling and it's been a delight fostering such a charming little kitten!
She adores her toys and playtime is absolutely the key to her little heart.
She has a gentle spirit and a very loving nature.
She is not a fan of being picked up but is able to get into a carrier as needed. Otherwise she prefer pets, rubs and gentle spankings, but not being lifted off the floor, although this can absolutely be worked on with her!
She was ridiculously friendly with our cats and she would be an awesome friend to bring home for a lonely, friendly kitty.

🐕Cleo would be comfortable with older, quiet, pet-responsible children and friendly, quieter dogs after appropriate introductions
