Everybody meet Dre! 🐾
Dre is a Pit Bull mix who was rescued from a terrible situation back in 2024. When his owners first got him, he had a severe lesion running all the way down the middle of his back that appeared to possibly be a chemical burn, grease burn, or even a solar burn. Regardless of the cause, the area has continued to bother Dre over time.
Recently, he has become extremely itchy along this area and frequently rolls onto his back to scratch, causing sores and scabbing along his midline. Dre’s owner has tried multiple medications with very little improvement. We were even beginning to consider a more radical approach, such as surgery, before deciding to try laser therapy first.
Cold laser therapy for pets is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular activity (increases blood flow and promotes healing). It can help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing for conditions such as arthritis, muscle sprains, wounds, and post-surgical recovery.
We know — it sounds a little high-tech! But laser therapy is actually a cost-efficient, quick, and comfortable treatment option that can benefit a variety of conditions. Many of our clients don’t realize we offer this therapy, so if you think your pet may benefit from laser treatment, feel free to ask us about it at your next visit! ❤️
