Of course we watch the National Dog Show every year on Thanksgiving Day and it’s always a treat when we see Dr. Harris Foley from Purina who was in her undergraduate studies and worked for Dr. Moore as a technician when he first began practice in Atlanta. We are always so proud of her and her accomplishments, and she is just as sweet as she is beautiful ❤️

10/23/25: HAVE YOU SEEN ME???? I am still missing and my mom misses me terribly! $500 REWARD!!!!!!

UPDATE: 10/02 at 7:10pm. STILL MISSING! Please keep sharing!

As of 09/29 at 8 pm: Barkley is still missing. We are all worried sick and his owner is heartbroken having to go home without her baby today. Please be on the lookout all around Columbus Parkway towards the interstate and in the downtown area behind TR Motors…. And behind the bus station. He could really be anywhere by now. Please keep sharing!

UPDATE: System restored

AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCY INFORMATION!!!!

ATTN: WE ARE EXPERIENCING TELEPHONE DIFFICULTIES THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!

In trying to update our After-Hours Message to reflect the Labor Day information, we just noticed after the reprogramming of our telephone Premium Attendant Service system recently, that the Engineers for Point Broadband have inadvertently deleted our After-Hours message information!! It will not allow us to update until we are able to reach someone tomorrow or Tuesday.

Please note the following important information:

On Monday, September 1st, our office will be closed for Labor Day and we will reopen on Tuesday, September 2nd at 7:30 am. There will be no boarding pickups available on Labor Day.
If your pet has a medical emergency, please call the Auburn University Small Animal Emergency Clinic at 334-844-4690. If Auburn University is unable to take your emergency, we are also recommending Carriage Hills Emergency in Montgomery at 334-277-2867 or Rivertown Veterinary Emergency in Columbus at 706-507-1707.

Subject: Exciting news from Thornton Animal Hospital!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Emily Benson has joined our team of veterinarians at Thornton Animal Hospital and will begin seeing patients on June 23rd! Dr. Benson is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and is very excited to join the team at Thornton Animal Hospital in June! She values client education, soft tissue surgeries, and making connections with both pets and their owners. When not at work, you will find her on the pickleball court, baking something new at home, watching the Dawgs play, or spending time with her husband and four animals: Ollivander (pictured), Velma (dog), Mango (sweet cat), and Kimchi (crazy cat).

Dr. Benson is dedicated to providing exceptional care to all our furry friends. She demonstrates a commitment to the same core values that has made Thornton Animal Hospital successful for so many years. Please note that on Monday, May 26th, our office will be closed for Memorial Day and we will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30 am. There will be no boarding pickups available on Memorial Day.

Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to Noon.
