After 30 wonderful years, the time has come for me to close the doors on Eastern Shore Pets.
This little store has been such a big part of my life, and that’s entirely because of all of you. Your support, conversations, stories about your pets, and just stopping in to say hi have meant more than I could ever put into words. This Eastern Shore really is special, and I’ve been lucky to be part of it.
Running a small business has changed a lot over the years, and honestly, it’s become harder and harder to make it work financially. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one for this season of my life.
I also want to take a moment to thank all the amazing employees who have been part of the shop over the years. You helped make this place what it was, and I’m so grateful for every one of you. Especially my dad — my biggest helper, problem solver, and steady presence through it all. I couldn’t have done any of this without him.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing our official closing date and will be having sales on remaining merchandise — including snakes — so stay tuned for details.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to continue to support small, local businesses whenever you can. They truly are the heart of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
