🎃 🐾Halloween is just around the corner, and while we love a good fright, we want to keep our furry friends safe from any real-life scares! Before the ghosts and ghouls arrive, check out these quick tips to keep your pets safe and comfortable:
🍬 Hide the Loot: Chocolate, raisins, and sugar-free treats containing xylitol are highly toxic to dogs and cats. Keep all trick-or-treat candy safely out of paw's reach.
🚪 Watch the Door: Constant knocking and ringing doorbells can stress out even the calmest pets. Set up a secure, quiet space away from the front door to prevent any accidental escapes when trick-or-treaters arrive.
🎃 Check the Decor: Glowing jack-o'-lanterns are beautiful, but curious noses and wagging tails can easily knock over candles, risking burns or fires. Consider switching to pet-safe battery-operated LED tea lights instead!
🦸♂️ Fashion Forward (and Comfortable): If you're dressing up your pet, make sure their costume doesn't restrict their vision, breathing, or movement. If they seem stressed or unhappy, a festive Halloween bandana is a great, stress-free alternative!
IDs, Please! Make sure your pet's collar tags and microchip contact details are up to date just in case they manage to slip outside.
Wishing all of our two-legged and four-legged neighbors a spooktacular, safe Halloween! ❤️
