🐾 Meet Your Veterinary Assistant: Makayla! 🐾

Before joining the OAH team, Makayla spent two years working in shelter medicine! ❤️ She’s passionate about caring for pets, connecting with clients, and building lasting relationships with the families she meets.

Her shelter medicine background has also sparked a special interest in behavioral appointments! 🐶 Makayla loves helping pets and their owners feel more comfortable, confident, and successful both at home and out in public.

You’ll often find Makayla lending a helping hand in our CSR (Client Service Representative) area, too! She loves jumping in wherever she’s needed and making sure every pet and their person feels welcome. 🐶🐱

We’re so happy to have Makayla as part of the OAH family! 💕

FACT: It takes science, skill, teamwork, compassion, and emotional strength.

Behind every wagging tail is a team working hard to make a difference. Veterinary medicine is more than a job — it's a commitment to animal health and welfare. 🐾

🐾 Meet Your Certified Vet Tech: Nickie! 🐾

Nickie spent 2 years as a veterinary assistant in clinic and shelter medicine before becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), and she’s now been a CVT for 14 years! 🩺🐶

When she’s not caring for animals, she’s busy caring for her own little farm crew! 🐴🐐🐔🦆🐰 She has a horse, goats, chickens, ducks, a rabbit, and a rescue Corgi (with hopes of adding a second Corgi to the family someday soon! 🐾❤️).

Outside of the veterinary world, Nickie loves reading, outdoor adventures, coaching tumbling, and, most importantly, spending time with her husband and daughters. ❤️

We’re so happy to have her amazing skills and experience in our hospital!
