It was not an easy decision, but it is not a bad decision.
We’ve been here such a short time, but at the same time we’re just about to reach our year anniversary. This feels like an odd time but a perfect time to sell off our collection.
The news may be sudden & unexpected, but it’s not for the wrong reasons. Caring for hundreds of isopods - possibly thousands, it’s not a simple task by any means. You have to put hours of time, care and effort into these little creatures. It’s so much responsibility.
While we can take on much responsibility, more responsibility is coming. We have an almost 4 year old, a little one on the way and life is just pulling us in so many directions at once. Having to throw thousands of pods into the mix, it’s not feasible.
We’ve made so many friends & might I even say family in this hobby that it would be hard to say goodbye forever. So we don’t have an answer to the question of a timeline. We appreciate each and every one of you who has supported us from the start, to the short end.
So even if you just liked a photo, or shared a post.. thank you.

P.S To those messaging us or commenting regarding isopods available, we are quite exhausted in our inbox. So please have patience! Offloading a collection over 100 species is not something that can be decided within hours. Right now our preference would be for the whole collection to be bought out. We have a few negotiations taking place so those will be considered before breaking down pod by pod. There’s a lot of value in this collection and we have lots to consider.
